Mini-stroke survivor, Dawn Turnage, shares her story of survival and recovery

Experiencing blurred vision and arm weakness for days, Dawn Turnage thought she just needed to go home and rest. A FaceTime call from her sister and niece allowed Dawn’s sister to identify that she was possibly having a stroke. At the ER, Dawn was told she was having mini-strokes throughout the week. Today, Dawn is using her voice to safeguard her health and encourages others to do the same. Dawn is a member of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women 2023 Real Women Class of Survivors.
