Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Monday that Australia plans to change its privacy rules so that banks can be alerted faster-following cyber-attacks at companies. In one of the biggest data breaches in Australian history, Optus, a subsidiary of Singapore Telecommunications, revealed last week that databases containing the home addresses, driver's license numbers, and passport numbers of up to 10 million customers - or about 40% of the country's population - had been compromised.
