Darren Barker: Full Career Breakdown and Review

Good boxer, good win over an underrated fighter in Geale but never accomplished much at world level. Without the hip injury, he probably would've given a better account of himself against Sturm, but would've come up short. Out of the 4 domestic middleweights (Murray, Lee, Barker, Macklin), I'd favour Murray and Lee to beat him but he would beat Macklin imo.

Good fighter and seems a genuine nice guy,But yeah those decision wins against Geale and Spada easily could have gone the other way
I also remember that he only agreed to fight Sturm in Germany because of a rematch clause, in case of a Sturm win,Sturm would have been obligated to make his first defence against Barker in the UK,But because of the carreer ending hip injury that never happened

He's currently a boxing coach at Boxing123 gym. I'm glad he's doing well as a boxing coach. Great Skill, but Not very Durable enough to compete at the world level. But still a great domestic fighter

There was something very bland about Butthead Barker. And they milked the brother story. I still find it hard to consider him a world champ and his biigging up of womens boxing ruins all credibility 😂
