Any changes in Brave's ability to block tracking, ads, and fingerprinting now that it is Fall of 2024?
ОтветитьWatching this video on Brave Browser right now.
ОтветитьNo
ОтветитьRob, you are da man! I wanna say it again, subscribed, bell rung, commented, upvoted, liked, shared ... may the algorithm gods continue-to smile favorably upon your channel friend.
ОтветитьSo, these companies know we don't want to be tracked and go through the effort to prevent being tracked. If they go around your efforts to not be tracked there should be a harsh punishment because it is obvious that they have no permission. They accumulate data about you and store it. Since they are always being hacked they should also be held monetarily responsible for any economic loss based on their irresponsible behavior.
Ответитьstill using Brave?
ОтветитьRob - as it stands now (in 2024) - which browser would you recommend? Brave or Firefox?
LOVE the videos!
So about device tracking, that is indeed a big issue. Can for example be done with Font Fingerprinting. That means every browser will have the same font fingerprint. That is if it is properly detected and no spoofing routine of the user side adds some random numbers or anything.
Isolating Facebook and Google in a different browser is a very good idea and now can be achieved with the Firefox containers. Just wondering how efficient they are. And do they also stop fingerprinting or just separate the cookies?
Big on a to do list to evade fingerprinting is actually the font fingerprint. Since with 100s of fonts on your device, this is a very unique combination of fonts and therefore and a very big footprint. So browsers need to find a way address this issue.
having the same fingerprint each time you refresh the page doesn't mean that brave doesn't block fingerprinting because this fingerprint can be a common one (p.s : im not sure that brave does block fingerprinting as he claims)
ОтветитьThrough the utilization of browser fingerprinting, Hidemyacc streamlines the generation of multiple profiles on a single computer, each with distinct parameters.
ОтветитьI wonder how LibreWolf (a firefox fork) compares to Brave
Ответитьno browser is 100% safe!
Ответитьi use adguard extension on my chrome browser and get random fingerprints there. does it make equally private with brave?
ОтветитьI love your tutorial 😊
Ответить私は以前Braveを使用していましたが、MoreLoginの方が価格がよりお得で、より安全だとわかりました。
Ответитьbrave does do a LOT of shady stuff, which makes me stay on firefox
Ответитьhello Sir please can you test avast anti finger print browser please? with tougher script?
ОтветитьRob, I don't get it. My Brave on Settings only shows very minimal stuff (Profile name, Import Bookmarks, Default Browser, Keep in Dock, and On Startup). I don't have any of that stuff you're going in the left sidebar. I typed in "brave://settings" just like you did. Suggestions??
ОтветитьHi Rob, this is a very much enlightening video, thank you for that.
Could you do this back to back comparing Brave with Librewolf as both are being boasted a lot as being the best and most usable secure browsers?
Do you still recommend/support the brave browser?
ОтветитьYour content is very precise. Brilliant!
ОтветитьThanks for the share. I have tested Epic Browser and I think I'll keep using that browser instead of all the others.
ОтветитьSo Wise , Thank You . Nothing is perfect . WE MUST fight the FREEDOM STEALERS

You my friend are so knowledgeable and present so flawlessly. You're many people's hero! Thank you for your knowledge!
ОтветитьTest Aloha browser as well
ОтветитьHi Rob, could you also think about Firefox Containers feature. I am using it in the way that I have container for each main trackers like - google container, facebook (It has its own container extension), Amazon,. Then I have container for News sites, Banking and some other. I used previosly your method to do Google stuf only in Chrome and other stuff in Safari or Firefox. But using Firefox containers is mor conveniente for me. PS: I still dont trust Brave browser since they had that crypto mining problem in the past and I cannot get over it since they was not straight on the beginning, i dont now what else they are not telling us...
Ответитьi use vivaldi, i think it;s better but i don;t know as much about browser isolation
ОтветитьThats funny I was sort of instinctively doing the browser isolation, it's hard to be 100% airtight though
ОтветитьThanks to the video, after watching it, Librewolf still seems better in almost every respect for a daily driver browser that respects privacy + just straight up Tor-Browser.
ОтветитьHey Rob,
Do you provide open source code for this fingerprint system? Or you teach somewhere how to doit?
didnt work for me cant scroll tried everything just wont scroll.
ОтветитьJust downloaded it today... will be dropping Google soon!
ОтветитьAside from most of this stuff being over my head, it always seems like a depressing message, that nothing is foolproof for complete privacy. However, this video makes me think that you can actually do more harm than good, in that you will be identified as someone attempting to be private, and be red flagged so to speak?
ОтветитьCould you please suggest me a good browser to use ?
Ответитьomg what a video quality such great and inadept review of brave and fingerprint tracking you are really doing a great work i just became a fan of you and subscribed this is exactly what i wanted to know .
ОтветитьBrave does a good job at balancing privacy and usability, it's nice they actually include an ad blocker with it.
ОтветитьRob, have you taken a look at EFF's Cover Your Tracks test. Could you exam it and give them feedback to improve it. It is now 2022 and Brave has again implemented a lot of enhancements to privacy. Could you review it again and see if they ahve improved it in your estimation? Thanks!!!
Ответитьbrave tracks their users
Ответитьdoes this work similar to firefoxe's tabbed containers?
Ответитьdoes brave mobile do the same?
ОтветитьALWAYS BLOCK FACEBOOK EMBEDDED PAGES
ОтветитьSeems like the ol wily natives method of hiding in plain sight totally camouflaged is the way to ambush them sucessfully
Ответить>Cares about privacy
>Using windows
You have confirmed me in my steadfast refusal to use Facebook in any way. Thanks again.
