I think one of the points Em has made (in interviews after Kamikaze) is that cause the media, Buttons on his channel and others were talking bad about Revival, cause of the lists of features that was released before the album was, they then wanted to be right about it when it released.
I personally think thats also why he since then doesn't promote anything before release so everyone can hear it actually before they make their mind up if they are gonna like it.

Revival is an album Em put out like five years ago that was trashed by everyone. It’s ok on my opinion. A few amazing tracks, some mediocre and some trash. Lyrically it was all A+, but the production was weird
