I will be checking my noise sources. I think part of it might be the neighbors led yard lights. Part of it is my lifepo4 charger

Another thing that helps a ton is knowing how to use your radio! Thought my EFHW was really noisy on 40m but turns out it’s just extra sensitive. Used the attenuator to drop it down to S3 from S9 and suddenly all the stations were easily workable! QRP stations were S7-S9 even! De KT0W

Un related question but hope you can help. I noticed you are using a flex. I ordered a 6400 back on feb 18 and still am getting the we are waiting on parts response as to why I haven’t received my rig. Is the flex in your opinion worth waiting on or should I just move on. I’m not in a major hurry but the customer service is starting to worry me.

Agree. Having a selection of RX antennas in your armory is becoming more and more critical.. TX is easy, just send it out..!

The antenna may be better on receive also, due to being outdoors ;) But there is no denying the reduction of the noise really helps to hear those stations..
