Marty if the bird pecks at you grab hold of it and hold it down on the ground between your knees so it cant flap or stand for 15 to 30 seconds. That will reset it's behavior.

I had one a few years ago and it attacked us all on our homestead got so bad well let's say it made a sure tasty dinner . Most people when they do tin roofs stack the tin in a pile and pre drill their holes so that way they're all the same

Always get side by side with Mr Roo. Never frontal they take that as an attack, even some hens too. Never come from the side or behind. Walk with them till you are close enough and pick them up if that is the goal. They and even some hens will peck you from behind turn slightly they will usually get in a submissive posture and you can manage them from there. I have a hen that loves to come up behind me - peck me - I turn and she gets a flat as flat can be and wants picked up and acknowledge and not for long, she wants back down. Learn them - each of them - I keep my flock small so I can get to know each of them. It is not easy to manage a flock if you don't know each of them and their needs.
