That truck is actually, physically in good shape.
Im sure it needs a little TLC but that truck can be restored to a fine little ride. Reminds me a little bit if the Ford lightning I once owned.

That's a dream truck for a lot of people and an investment for many more. Unless the guy has a gold plated price tag, I'd try to find a decent middle ground and spend the time on it.

I think it is real. As a kid in my late teens I used to see one like this run around our town. It was red too, with the wood and chrome trim and pipes. It had gold leaf lettering on the door that said Little Red Express Truck on it. The truck had a 318 cu in engine.
