hmmm, i gotta '95 300E Diesel w/ 122 k orig.. miles....slapped a set of Nitto Race tires on it and thought that maybe my brothers' layoff could be 'reframed' into a navi-engineer position for my new, rally-team, racing career..

anyone kno when 2024 Baja 1000 is scheduled to start this year?? i forget is it spring or mid-summer race?? obv would benefit from a FOX shockkk kit + lift..are there any other mods i should consider [short=throw, shift kit??] some kind of respiration equip to assist while running behind ppl throwing dust, etc...FULL cage + HAARNESS a must..

This is the coolest C123 ever. It’s refreshing to see one of these being driven like they were meant to be. I own and daily a C123 and I’m very impressed with its prowess in the corners. All it takes as the sorriest spring lowering job ever (also only 2 inches lower) and 16x8 wide wheels and these cars really carve corners. 1 inch wheel spacers in the back are crucial.

If only we could hear the car instead of that annoying music, this video would’ve been awesome!!

i raced in a stage of a rally with a w115 from 74 ,220D against a new Lancia Delta integrale race or rally car, only took the exaust only leaving the colector in gravel and compacted sand roads in a mountain area close to the beach, i was a rally driver in the 70´s till 83 always drove the Ford escort , RS1600mkI and a RS2000mkII. All this was in a rally stage where i was near at the beach at the end of that section i went to talk with the organisation has i knew them , i was dared by a young driver , what he didn´t knew was that i make every year that road to go to the beach several times .beaches never touched by human hand ,even my deutsch and dutch friends after retired came to live near me and at 117kms through very rough roads from their homes is the beach where we met in 1973 , one couldn´t see a portuguese near by. There was a litle village of fisherman, 2kms far that were very nice to young people from several european countries and with improvised tables and long benches made of old wood we used to play guitars and sing through out the night after eating fish caught that day ,grilled on coal with Bread>(would come out of a tradional Oven at 5 in the afternoon) and salad also lot´s of wine but wine made by the people ,it was the best wine i still drink but it´s very dificult to have a botle today ,better than the most expensive sold wine botles, some did live there till the 90´s in comunities self suficient without any electricity or water suplied by the authorities. They were amazed by the fact that all looked the same , there were a few more modern houses in the village but almost not seen and no buildings, no police or security agents no nothing there and this with a lot of youth there . Water falls to the beach of drinkable water where if you wanted to have a shower to take the salt from your body ,at the time swiming suits were not seen in km´s of beach and mostly girls. At night we all joined to have party´s at the beach which was where we used to eat, this in the litle village, some portable record and cassette players with batteries playing from jazz to led zeppelin and many guitars ,some would find old buckets or a wooden brench and with wooden sticks would play rythm, those were happy days now they´re gone, sorry for the long coment, one when talking about the place remenbers when things were simpler, the people at the time were very nice to youngsters has they used to pay but with a lot of money for the people in the village ,the reason why they were very symphatetic to us, money entering in their pockets but most of the young people didn´t pay has the money was gone, sometimes i would travel 50 kms to by cigars and money was given to me sometimes i used to pay and lot´s of money left and when i wanted to return no one wanted the mioney so i gave it to the people as they were very poor and always helping ,there were rocks that if one would fall , they would clean the wounds and make a patch also very white skin people would become red in the first days like shrimp, wich was available to eat at your own will, i used to say "this one day will end ,well now we don´t see groups of teenagers ,nothing just old people , in the past was the years where there were more young people in Europe, in the 90´s i would drive there with my W123 coupé or C300 turbo-diesel non available in Europe ,i bought it from a person who was working in Canada with long bumpers, first time i went there was with my 68 280S, i would carry from 8 to 15 persons in that car, but in the front only 3 also the back door to the luggage where the ones who fitted there were welcome, it was a long and large car and with the 2.8 engine gasoline was powerfull enough to carry all, once i found a real limousine with the w115 look , i bought it and start to drive it to the beach , no taxis there or other means of transportation ,only by Car or Bike and today not one taxi there, also had an ambulance from the same model , it was cool and painted by the ones who really knew how to draw and paint. About the rally stage i win by 15 minuts diference, he started 10 minuts after me so 25 minutes later i was at the end waiting for him , he asked me to let him drive the car and after he said he was amazed how good it was with that size and weight, and with only the colector was deaqfning the noise of the engine and also becomes faster , reason why?i never get it, a 60 h.p. car with some horses already left would be faster with only the colector, normally it´s the reverse at top speed, which was 140 kms/hour
