I love this song as well, but it doesn't have the brutal honesty that comes from relationships that From The Beginning evokes. Still You Turn Me On has its own dreamy conflicts, but not: "But there it is", which for me, is heartbreaking and laying everything on the line for something that may already have been lost forever... but may also be the only move left that saves them; the "new" "Beginning".
ОтветитьGreg Lake forever ;) Unforgettable ballads of melodic and vocal beauty.
ОтветитьMusical magic. 😎
ОтветитьYup!
ОтветитьI'm literally in a puddle of emotions
ОтветитьGeniuses
ОтветитьHe was a great kisser, as were all the guys back then. Central High School London.😅
ОтветитьNobody can come close to Greg’s talent today
ОтветитьSo lucky to have grown up with this era of music. RIP Greg.
ОтветитьHe’s chewing gum.
ОтветитьChewing gum is magic.
ОтветитьAnd he wrote Lucky Man when he was 16.
ОтветитьI met him backstage the last time ELP reunited. He was so approachable, sweet and personable! The guys I was with invited him out for a beer, but he regretfully could not (but he really wanted to and said so!)
He kissed my right hand...
I didn't wash that hand for 2 days!
Love you forever, Greg Lake 💖
I saw ELP at California Jam 1974.
ОтветитьGreg Lake exagère : il mâche un chewing-gum lorsqu'il chante!
ОтветитьBet he got laid a lot
ОтветитьEs un genio casi desconocida su grandeza humana su sencillez su integridad y su respeto a todos
ОтветитьI still listen to this , and others from my 70's.
ОтветитьVoz dos anjos, sempre maravilhoso greg Lake, que esteja cantando no céu...
ОтветитьPure perfection...
ОтветитьI cried when he died. Nice guy too.
ОтветитьHis voice is very powerful. It's as if he has a speaker in his mouth with many air instruments coming out in a symphony . The echo has a sound from a time in America that was special magical. A beautiful face and soul.
ОтветитьBeautiful song 🎶
ОтветитьThese supposed singers of today should hear this and then feel totally ashamed!
ОтветитьWhat a voice. I have never seen a singer chew gum while preforming amazing.
ОтветитьAll while chewing gum....WOW. ♥️
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьHave loved this song for MANY years!
ОтветитьThis is what no auto tune looks like kids! Glad I got to see them once.
ОтветитьIf you can play an Instrument like me ( E.Bass , Piano and can sing ( naturally not like G. L. ) you can imagine what it means to play infront of this audience , but he does it
ОтветитьDo you wanna be an angel
Do you wanna be a star
Do you wanna play some magic on my guitar
Do you wanna be a poet
Do you wanna be my string
You could be anything
Amo essa voz, essa música, essa banda
ОтветитьI love this man and ELP
ОтветитьAn angel chewing gum
Ответитьmagic
ОтветитьLove u greh
ОтветитьGRATEFUL TO HAVE SEEN ELP SEVERAL TIMES IN MY LIFETIME…. ALMOST 70 I AM…. EVEN SEEN EMERSON, LAKE AND POWELL …..BELIEVE IT OR NOT……. WAS GOOD, BUT PALMER, THE BEST! RIP! 🥹🎶👍💝
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful voices in the history of rock and roll! RIP.
ОтветитьWatch this video dozens of times a year. every year. Just Greg, a guitar, and some gum makes me smile!
ОтветитьOne of best bands ever, period. RIP Greg
Ответить"Are you chewing gum?" -Miles
ОтветитьINCREDIBLE!! Is he chewing gum?
ОтветитьGreat song
ОтветитьWe came of age when musicians were amazing with beautiful voices. My son and I just were talking yesterday about singers today who are really popular but with not very impressive voices.Taylor Swift for example. I compare that to what fruit like a juicy peach tasted like back then, even store bought the juice would run down your chin. Fruit today is tasteless. So, people today don't know what they missed.
ОтветитьWhile chewing gum, Damn I love him Rip, Greg
ОтветитьNo auto tune here . Still love this song at 63
ОтветитьOh my gosh, 51 years when I first heard this song. Happy, sad, bittersweet all rolled into one. Perfect.
Ответить💕 ~ I have loved this song from the 1st moment I heard it - long ago ... 💝
Ответить💕 ~ I am someone's Angel 😇 & he's my star 🤩 = 💗
ОтветитьMy wife has loved this group, and Greg’s voice since she was 13years old, but, she just saw this video, and she said, how can he sing, play a 12 string, chew gum?!! I can’t chew gum and dance!! Miss the music, nobody has created this kind of music, since🥹
