Dump all your CFL shares, with this family fund, there is no hope for anything good from this company. The reconciliation is just a show, the damage and hurt are permanent and deep.

Kwek has been drinking the love potion soup prepared by dr wu of taiwan for more than 20 years. The love potion is too deep in his system. Maybe ET of supernatural can help.
Under her love spell , kwek will listen to her command.
Even china was once under an empress who controlled the emperor.
Today wu is still the master not kwek even after resigning.
No money no honey.

Some foreign women know how to pamper and please local men. Wife and husband love has withered, he will go out to look for younger woman. The one he likes is ambitious and $ minded. He can't resist woman younger and gentler than the wife.

Please do not forget that Mr. Philip Yeo is a distinguished public figure in Singapore, having formally headed the tiny nation's Economic Development Board (EDB) for a very long period before retiring from office. His words of wisdom should be well-heeded, based on his vast, unparalleled experience involving various government ministries.

In business or investor perspective, if someone leading the company led to huge loss and also generating lower revenue over the years. I would definitely vote the other one.
Also, if the person can lead the company to generate huge profits. As investor, I won't give a shit about his private life. He can do whatever he wants as long as he produces results. Business is about profit and not moral. If want moral, go invest in temple etc.

In a normal multinational corporate boardroom, the CEO would be terminated if the person incurred a 1.9 B loss to the company as well as consecutive years of declining profits. Although the years mentioned were probably influenced by Covid. Nevertheless the head/CEO has to take the responsibility!

The son made irrational investments in the PRC and lost SGD 1.9 billion, just like Singapore’s unaccountable Temasek, which crazily invested in the PRC and lost most of its PRC-related investments. If the father fails to intervene now, then CDL will go down precipitously, much like Hong Kong’s almost insolvent New World Group. The woman being dragged into this mess neither makes bad investment choices nor has the power to make such decisions. The stupid son does.

Trust the wise old man. BTW, Li Ka Shing has better geo-political judgment than his two adorable sons. It’s an indispensable skill to build and maintain a business empire.

End of story as the chinese say "Wealth don't last more than 3 Generation"... Hong Leong, founded by Grandfather & Grand Uncle, pass to thier Sons than to Grandson that where it will end. His son will not be a billionaire air but still a millionaire. The son will be a nobody in the end. CDL will break...Mar 6 2020 $9.60, Feb 25 2025 $5.10, almost loss 47% value. At some point there will be a corporate take over of CDL by a foreign(outsider) in business there are always shark lurking around. Why? CDL still have some value, All equity investors look for buy low sell high. Corporate raiders will take over CDL...ikan bilis investors will suffer.
