how do you even get crops to grow?? when I put seeds into a farm block all it says is " seed " for example and stays on that.. it never seems to grow??

Crops do not carry water?

The seed/crop balance is precisely the opposite of reality.

If you look for the red and gold flowers out in the wild they can make mineral water. If you look out for mushrooms and potatoes you can make steak and potatoes for better food and water.

What you're left with after harvesting and replanting:
LotL 0 = -0.5 crops/plot
LotL 1 = 1.5 crops/plot
LotL 2 = 2 crops/plot
LotL 3 = 4 crops/plot

Q1 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.2 crops/plot
Q2 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.4 crops/plot
Q3 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.6 crops/plot
Q4 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.8 crops/plot
Q5 Farmer outfit+boots = +1 crops/plot
Q6 Farmer outfit+boots = +2 crops/plot

For example you have LotL Lv.1 and no gear, you go and plant 10 seeds and 2 days later you harvest and replant them and ON AVERAGE you are left with 15 crops from that.
In the same example, having max skill and max gear, you would be left with 60 crops per harvest ON AVERAGE.

Cotton farming is super useful for cloth, super corn sells well, people complaining of farming being nerfed are stupid asf

Can someone assist me real quick. I’m trying ti make a tree farm for wood, but don’t know when the trees are fully grown. Some look like they are partially grown and others look decent but I want the big trees to get max wood. I’m new to the game so I have 0 experience with any other alpha. Do the trees keep getting bigger the longer I grow them or no? Some trees I’ve seen have like 1600 health and give loads of wood.

They should tweak the amount of crops it takes to make seeds. Great video! 👽

if ya aint got a farmer in your game u better be ready to gobble some glizzys cuz cooking anything else high tier is obnoxious.

I actually find it a bit easier to just buy seeds and food off of traders and save those points spent on LoL and spend them on trader perk buffs. Later game stages offer more food at rekt and in loot piles and I find vending machines have all the buff items I need so there is not much use in crafting that stuff anyway.

Looks like farming sucks so much huh, farm boxes wastes so much materials to make, seeds are too much of a hassle to create, you'll have to waste so much skill points just to get a positive out of farming, any lvl farmer armor doesn't make much difference to yield.

Farming isnt really worth it early game to me just go for Bacon and eggs asap as Meat and eggs is pretty easy to get. Air drops will give some free farm plots for you at some point. Especially if daily drops. Maybe stack farming supplies and some canned foods or so until you are ready for a base you know you will always use. (DESERT) and then you can also start cooking really good food by then

Farming is completely broken. You move backwards and end up with less veggies even with skill points in farming.

This is another one of TFPs fck up. They're doing this in reverse. 1 seed is supposed to give a few fruits or vegetables. The vegetables or fruits gives you tons of seeds.

5 for 1 seed is just stupid , i don't think it is luck i went in to 1 living of the land to and noticed that i get less seeds now than before i think it is just programed like that 0% luck in it .

Farming have only came to be usefull in multiplayer in solo you dont need it at all

Seems like there's a 40-50% chance to get seeds back and the only thing that boosts it is the boots.

What is the difference between Seed Loot Bonus and Seed Harvest Bonus? Sounds like the same thing to me.

Anyone else remember when you had to get poop to make your farm? Whenever we went raiding POIs, I remember yelling at my friends whenever I found out they left poop in the toilet again. I’m really glad they removed that from the game. 🤣

For me it seems the number of plots dictates the amount of seeds you get back; donno how the game is supposed to know that, but it seemingly does. Because of that I've been planting 20 of the crops I need. It definitely becomes viable at that number. Albeit sometimes it's hard to get that many seeds to start! I dig one block below the ground so the crops seem to be in the ground lol

Farming is pretty easy imho. Especially on solo when you don't need to worry about allies lol.
You can find & use farm plots in a lot pois the Drogas residence, movie fanatic residence, or mausoleums just to name some pois with a lot of farm plots.
Getting seeds is as easy as digging through trash bags or scavenging outdoor food stalls

So, in other words, farming is absolutely pointless unless you're at end game, which is most likely when you wouldn't need to farm anymore.

What about level 0 living of the land and armor 1 and 6? And living of the land 1 and armor 1? (Right now I have a duo gp and level 1 lotl plus few materials for armor crafting, is it worth it?).

Great showcase! As a new player i was wondering though, which plants are worth and aren't worth going for and for which reasons? For example, is it worth to plant and harvest corn for food benefits and/or crafting benefits, or is it not worth it? I'd love it if someone would provide me with guidance on that.

going from alpha 15 to 1.0 is crazy (and a bit annoying) they literally changed everything.

Uh, am I wrong to look at this and think it's not very good? It's not broken but it seems like something that most people won't be able to do? By the time you get to this point, you probably have a hunting system in place or something. Farming should probably be buffed. Maybe make crops cheaper for selling but grow more? Or 1-1 seed harvest. Realistically the number of seeds needs to outnumber the number of fruit though.

i have 3/3 Living of the land and 20/20 in seeds magasine and full level 6 farmer gear.
i plant 10 Corn.. waited over 5 days.. nothing happen..
then i go to the wild.. and with a bone knife I cut down 10 corn.. and out off that i got 39 corn and no seeds.. so that just destroy my game of farming.. its NOT like in your vids.. or my game is just buged.. :(

The zombies are easy in the first 2 weeks in game, i find myself always getting hungry and having to scavenge for food way more than I'd like to. I also miss that you dont get your jars back when drinking water like long ago. They made the food and water bar more scary and fragile than my health bar. Plus you eat the wrong food and dysentery makes it even harder. Easier to just unalive myself for xp and save the time from scavenging.
