It’s weird hearing dunkey say so many things that are true.

It’s always been weird that game developers had all these exciting and innovative ideas for the 64DD, but nowadays every console has either a disk or cloud storage, and yet none of those ideas are getting built.

I wonder if we're only saying that ideas from 128 bled into other games because Mario and Nintendo continued to be successful, and their games continued to be cutting edge. It's hard to imagine Pikmin or Mario Galaxy running on a 64. I'm curious if those games were developed, and Miyamoto said that ideas were similar to Mario 128 after the fact.

I was expecting a joke, but I like this thing you did there...

It’s weird hearing that Miyamoto hasn’t directed a game in so long, especially not a Mario game. I always assumed he was in charge of development for the games he had created. It makes me wonder what exactly his role is with these games nowadays.

So Mario 128 is just every mainline 3d Mario game as it is being developed, new ideas and all. This is nothing new.
