so the dad hung himself , the daughter is pregnant, the mom is having an affair with the minister, the son is annoying and has been gone for 10 years , the lawyer is unprofessional.... but I think I missed the punchline.

It's a rock & roll way to close the curtains. People can show their true colours, other than black, when someone close to them dies. There was a burial, I think it was in Ireland, a tape was played (graveside ) of the deceased with his muffled voice, saying " let me out of here, I can't breathe " now that's dark humour.
