Decathlon has a packable messenger bag similar to the one you showed. For our European and Canadian friends.
ОтветитьLoved the thumbnail for this one, guys!
ОтветитьI ❤ these types of videos. Based on your recommendation from a previous video, I bought a pair of CRZ YOGA Men's All Day Comfy Golf Pants. I about to purchase a second pair because they are so comfortable and so lightweight, they don't take up much space in my carry-on.
ОтветитьYou can thumb flip your pen. 😂
ОтветитьHero clip is underrated
ОтветитьMy peak design bag is literally the best! I use it for so many things and it packs so small. I use it for groceries, to go to my yoga classes and other random things
ОтветитьIf you get a slightly larger towel, it can also double as a blanket. I once had a thin down blanket that would roll up into a pouch as small as the towel roll - I loved it, even in hot countries it was needed because of air conditioning needing to run at night. Then it got borrowed and never returned.
ОтветитьPack TWO pens, a good one (for you) and a “throwaway” one (for that guy on the plane who wants to borrow your pen).
ОтветитьI love my matador soap bag! I always pack it.
ОтветитьDenier is for the weight of the yarn, 70 denier is common for pantyhose. The higher the denier the more thread is used per square inch so a higher denier means thicker fabric. I like the Humangear GoBites Uno plastic "sporks". If going to Indian or Arab countries you will want a sport or at least a fork. Same may apply to asian countries if you are not skilled with chop sticks. Especially if you plan to eat street foods from venders.
ОтветитьBetter alternative for heroclip is a basic S hook for a couple of bucks per bundle. Cut down on the weight
ОтветитьI love my Hero clip!😊
ОтветитьThank you! A question about solid shampoo bars/soaps. Granted, they're so much more efficient than liquids, but I'm afraid that they will melt in the summer (I'm imagining taking the bus, walking under the sun etc. while waiting for checkin time, you know). Do you have any experience about that? thanks!
Ответитьwazzup? the matador soap bar case...they say on their website:
- Remove as much water and suds as possible from the soap bar before inserting it into the FlatPak case.
- Keep the FlatPak case exposed to open air while drying. The drying time will be noticeably longer if you immediately put the case inside your dopp kit or luggage where there is no air circulating.
Still a really good case though, using it myself.
I have the heroclip as well, but for me the medium feels like a more perfect size for everyday use.
Thanks for a great video, good gear doesnt have to be expensive!
P.s. Really want that toiletry bag of yours. Looks a lil bit more compact than their new one.
But you can only charge one thing at a time
ОтветитьI have two of the new REI travel kits that I like a lot.
ОтветитьThat «crossbody bag» (actually a bum bag) looks way too flimsy. I've used Kipling Presto for years. It can be used over the shoulder, as a bum bag and as a cross body bag the way you showed. Mine is the old version with the hook and loop pocket. The new version is better. But I do manage to use even that. It's very flat, though. But the material will stand up to prolonged use and repeated washings. I have two, and one bag has been through the washing machine at least twice.
ОтветитьIt's dumb to bring a water bottle to travel abroad, just bring a regular plastic water bottle that from any 7-11 to the airport, you can just throw away if you don't need it
ОтветитьI have a hero clip on every bag I own. I friggin love them.
ОтветитьGreat video. My personal recommendations that haven't been mentioned here are the Nanobag (a bag/tote that is much lighter than even the one you've showed), Vapur water bottle (quite similar to Platypus) and a travel wallet from Decathlon (It's the smallest wallet I could find that fits a passport, multiple credit cards and still has space for both coins and bills)
ОтветитьMake sure you clean out the lid, take the piece out of the lid as it may mold in it.
ОтветитьAgree with the idea for pretty much everything, but I do have my own gear for some.
**One thing I carry that I would also recommend is a collapsible straw.
- Pen: Don’t care the brand, just be sure to bring one.. or two. 😉
- Packable tote: Nanobag. Great bag, packs really small, comes in different sizes. They just had a kickstarter for a backpack that hasn’t shipped yet. Will be testing that on my trip this summer.
- Toiletries bag: Haven’t found one I love just yet, still working in that.
- Matador Flatpak: Have these. Work great.
- Water bottle: I like my insulated bottles (HydroFlask, Swell). I like my water cold. 🤷♀️
- Cable: Futurizta 6-in-1 cable for hotel rooms, and a smaller InCharge X for my purse
- Towel: Matador ultralight nanofiber towel. Pretty much exactly like yours. Love it
- Crossbody: I just use my purse, a Travelon bag, pretty small.
- Spork: I do use a plastic foldable fork and spoon because I’m afraid they’ll take a metal one away from me. Also have a generic double ended plastic spoon/fork I got at a sporting goods store.
- HeroClip: Have these, love them. Cannot recommend enough.
I will say that some of the items I use are definitely NOT under $20, but I’ve had them a while, they work fine, no need to change them.
If you want a collapsible water bottle that can fit ice cubes. Look into the HydraPak Stash
ОтветитьThat's an overpriced spork
ОтветитьI love my Matador tote.
ОтветитьAlternate pen suggestion the Zebra F-301 compact. It gets really small and is awesome for travel. Also I was recently in the Delhi airport and not a single pen worked, which is why I was very glad to have my own
Ответить😅 what toys
ОтветитьRegarding pens: Not saying that you shouldn't bring a nice pen. BUT: For purely travel-related stuff like immigration forms I stick with the Ol' Reliable: A cheap BIC ballpoint pen. They cost pennies, they work and if I lose them, I am not going lose any sleep over it. Because if you need to fill out any paperwork en route, there is a 100% chance that someone near you has no pen with them, in which case you can help them out once you are done. Don't count on being able to borrow a pen from a flight attendant. If they do have a pen on hand, it's probably their personal one and they need that by themselves for work stuff. They are NOT going to give it to you because they will have to assume they will never get it back. It's unbelievable what some people think is theirs for the taking "because they paid for the flight". If you are lucky, you get your pen back. If not, you are out a few pennies, if anything.
ОтветитьPacking the tumi travel tote ever since I picked it up 20 years ago. Doesn’t pack quite as small but larger and durable.
ОтветитьI carry tactical pens and flashlights
ОтветитьI love using my Eatology spork, spoon and mini spatula. I actually carry a utensil kit that includes my favorite chopsticks with me whether I'm traveling or just commuting. It comes in handy far too often to leave at home. I have Heroclips (small) on all my travel back packs and carry-on luggage. I even used them to hold my big checked in suitcases on the hotel luggage trolleys. I refuse to travel without my heroclips. When there's no hook on the bathroom door in the airport, you will appreciate not having to balance your bag or put it on the floor
ОтветитьI have 3 of the Matador soap bags - one for the shampoo bar, one for conditioner and another for hand/body soap. The bags are easy to pack and the bars never get goopy.
ОтветитьThese prices are crazy. I have been using a collapsible water bottle, similar to the one shown, which I bought about 10 years ago from a Chinese mail order company, it cost around 1$. Even now you can get it around 2$ including shipping. The same applies to most of the other items.
ОтветитьA down side to the owala water bottle for travel: you fill it with tap water and place in mini fridge to cool overnight, in the morning it’s still warm because it’s too insulated to cool down, so plastic for the travel win?
I have the kids size, it fits in my purse or any bag I want to carry for when I don’t want to carry a backpack.
I travel a lot and carry a spork similar to yours. A water bottle that clips on my pack, a few large clips, carry two filtered drinking straws (one straw size and one larger drinking straw), LED pen flashlight, and smaller but extra should backpack that folds and stores nicely.
Also carry so 550 cord (aka parachute cord) and zip ties. Never know what you’ll have to fix on your gear. Lastly a military can opener and small utility tool.
All clears thru TSA with no issues.
I haven't have a great experience with the matador soap bags, my soap would get really gross. It is not worth it for what the bag costs
ОтветитьPor favor, qué marca es el bolígrafo..Gracias
ОтветитьWhat was the soap you kept putting in the bag?
ОтветитьSouthpaws know the value in quick drying ink!
ОтветитьWell $24 after next Tuesday if you’re in the states
ОтветитьI love peak design but the nano bag is on another level for packing down plus 25 liter capacity
ОтветитьI love the small Hero Clip, especially when I travel solo, since I have no one to watch my backpack and carry on when I use the restroom. I use it to hang my backpack on the bathroom door hook.
Ответить“Travel pen”….. so a pen lol
Good video, just found that funny
what about air tags/? what do you use?
Ответитьa little bit of feedback, you say "but" a lot... maybe use other words like however , although, etc..
ОтветитьAwesome items! Thought I was subscribed, it said nope, so fixed that fast! Thanks for your thorough information!
ОтветитьI started traveling with solid shampoo and conditioner…love the matador dry bag for these items! Game changer!
ОтветитьGreat vid! I learned a lot!
Subbed.
May I recommend food specific wipes for no hassle cleaning?
No rinse or drying needed.
“Wipes plus no rinse multi surface”
Comes in several pkgs including the small that is same so as toilet wipes.
