This will work but only if you’re trading with stocks ,futures it doesn’t work like this in the Forex because there’s no central Broker and everyone including banks move the money so it’s not easy to get this Fair Value Gap.
If you do this 6/10 times there will be a big candle somewhere that will reach or pass your Stop loss to forcefully close your position
