As someone who lived with a military family every time I hear one of my family members will leave just for a few days I get scared cuz no one knows what will happen to them some of them did die and now my best friend (who is in the military) is one of the people who I’m scared will make that one phone call or worse I’ll have a visitor I don’t want to see

This hits fucking hard, way too damn hard. My dad was in the military all his life until he passed while at work (thankfully not in a warzone or anything but still). Anything to do with the military always hit way harder than they would otherwise. Absolutely amazing acting here, the desperation is translated beautifully.
