ОтветитьI've seen four Kay Francis films, The Cocoanuts (1929), Raffles (1930), Girls About Town (1931), and Little Men (1940) and am interested in watching others.
ОтветитьI just discovered this fabulous channel! I've got lots of catching up to do!
ОтветитьKay Frances was great.
What a broad!
I think she had a great life.
"She had to have a vasectomy"? Seems unlikely.
ОтветитьShe reminds me of Wallis Simpson
ОтветитьOne man after another and drowning herself in alcohol. Lost and beautiful is a perfect description for her life.
ОтветитьI love old Kay Francis movies. She was special, the camera loved her. Timeless beauty 👌
ОтветитьI find funny how the ladies had the same eyebrows going down… they looked different
ОтветитьShe had “ flings” with every man that came close to her!!😮
ОтветитьToo many morality police on here. She was a good actress and a beautiful woman. Who she ducked was her business.
ОтветитьSad, i started to watch her movies. She was just excellent. But the stress to over achieve and under the pushing of movie moguls, alcohol, drugs and every unreasonable demand brakes a person.
ОтветитьPassion Flower was a book by Kathleen Norris
ОтветитьHow did she survive those early experiences?
ОтветитьFascinating lady and a fascinating life. I adore her already. RIP Kay, God bless ❤
ОтветитьSad time moves on
ОтветитьI don't think anyone looked better in clothes during her era...except perhaps Ginger Rogers...an elegant woman.
ОтветитьI sure would like to read that diary! Bet it's better than Mary Astor's!!
ОтветитьBeautifully done. Independent and Great lady. Always took care of her beauty. Bravo.....
ОтветитьVery interesting, expose of Ms.Francis. She certainly had a life that she wanted, enjoyed.Sad that her life ended so tragically, being alone,no one close to her.Thank you,for sharing this with the public.
ОтветитьOne of the most stunning, and glamorous Hollywood Stars who ever lived. Tall, elegant in style and manner, she epitomized the fashion and lifestyle of Hollywood during the 1930's. On screen, Kay Francis was unforgettable with her black hair, green eyes, husky voice, and usually clothed in a long, backless, evening gown that fell to the floor. There has never been anyone, ever, quite like her on the silver screen.
ОтветитьI loved her. Can’t wait to watch❤
ОтветитьThe great Kay Fwancis.
ОтветитьHeartbreaking beauty. What a woman! Someone closer to our time who reminds you of KF is (was) the enchanting Elizabeth Pena.
ОтветитьDid the narrator say that Kay had to have a "Vasectomy?"
ОтветитьEveryone who is older than 64!!? They harassed?? Trying to take from them $200.00? A month!! From their paycheck!???
ОтветитьThey harassed older people in Florida?? Trying to make them pay extra $200.?!!! For medical insurance!?? When they pretend that they giving money back?
ОтветитьSometimes people get just what they deserve
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful video, thank you! Kay and Jean Arthur are my favourites. Mandalay (1934) is the one I love most ❤️
ОтветитьTerrible, so many holly weird stars you heard of and many you didn't
ОтветитьJust gorgeous! One of my favorites of that era. Pure allure and glamour!
ОтветитьShe had a huge lawsuit if that happened now she had to wear dark glasses the rest of her life!!
ОтветитьI was hoping you would do Kay Francis she was so beautiful and underrated and unique sexiness about her
ОтветитьWonderful actress she wore her costume’s so beautifully
ОтветитьI love her❤😊🌹
ОтветитьI always loved her acting. Funny she came across as a very sensible person- I guess not with alcohol abuse etc.❗️ New sub here 😀
ОтветитьThe boudoir shot with William Powell in One Way Passage is just swoon worthy. What a lovely chemistry they had. Both passionate and tender. Something that’s been missing from movies for ages. True romance.
ОтветитьJust wanted to mention that, in the 40’s, she starred again with Walter Huston in a rather corny movie with Deanna (sp?) Durbin.
ОтветитьBig fan of Kay. That face, those eyes, that glorious hair! And oh how she wore those clothes! I’m glad to know that, at least in her early days, she had some unapologetic, glamorous fun.
ОтветитьI have no idea who she is or the show she did/does
ОтветитьI have zero respect, for women who use abortion as a contraceptive.
Ответить"Christ, I am a slut!"
that line from her diary pretty much sums it up, no need to waste an hour of your time watching this
If it wasn't for the advent of TCM I would never have known of Kay Francis.........and eagerly enjoyed the movies they revealed to us of later generations.........even what some would consider pot boilers: considering for a period in the 1930s she was the highest paid actress in Hollywood (something you left out)...........memorable was Mandalay.....and her transformation into Spot White (what a punk rock name).....later work with Deana Durbin.....and Four Jills in a Jeep.........also recall a story stating she suffered from macular degeneration to her eyesight (hence leaving the bequest supporting seeing eye dogs) [though your report skipped that story] ....overall enjoyed your report (would love to read that diary; wink)
ОтветитьBrunt told me that they shop around that time. And I didn't even recognize that she was very fat and not in take control of herself. I don't know what that meant. I'm very sad to hear about her and nature. His own lovely actress of them do it. It's a beautiful
ОтветитьJust think of k francis as scarlett o'hara would that have been one of the worst jokes of the century, love her, as I knew that was not the robo
ОтветитьWhat was doing? The documentary has a lovely and southern voice, unlike so many of them that are like gracious, I love your voice, whether it's real or unofficials
ОтветитьI always wondered what day Francis would look like with a modern eyebrow instead of those downturn. Sad Looking eyebrows, as I am a makeup artist or was a makeup artist. The interestingly, what she would look like in a modern makeup
ОтветитьYou have such a lovely speaking voice. I remember Kay Francis from one or two films. I always thought her lisp was charming.
