ОтветитьThis video is a joke. Left out 2 of the most popular off grid states and listed the rest.
ОтветитьWild hogs is a flawless movie sir
ОтветитьDon't forget, when calculating the cost of off grid power, the sun/wind setup are only the initial costs! You will spend more on upkeep than you do on the objects themselves. (But it's still cheaper and more reliable than plugging in.)

ОтветитьIllinois has insane land taxes, forget about it!
ОтветитьI'm 73. I want easy access to a wide range of healthcare, Lyft ridesharing and a premium supermarket I can walk to, exactly like where I live
ОтветитьAlaska?
ОтветитьTake note these states are in the path of destruction, tornado alley.. I bought a property in Missouri last year and the weather here has completely traumatized me I'm selling after my 2 year mark.. also they fail to tell you about the bad allergies that blow in on the wind, been sick since I moved here, and taxed on everything. So I disagree about Missouri, I moved here to homestead with my kids but the weather is to unpredictable and extreme.
ОтветитьTornado Alley?
ОтветитьTexas... ridiculously hot, hurricanes, and flooding. Sign me up!
ОтветитьProperty taxes don’t matter when you get allodial title and move property into a irrevocable trust. Free game!
ОтветитьThe nerve of corporate America. In a candid interview for the documentary We Feed the World, Nestle Chairman Peter Brabeck makes the astonishing claim that water isn’t a human right.
Ответитьthe main reason states and government restrict the crap out ot you when living off the grid is if it becomes popular they will lose billions in taxes and fees. and politicians love kickback fees.
ОтветитьThank You I did not know about Iowa. I was sold on Missouri but now maybe I might change my mind. Thank You
ОтветитьIllegal to collect rainwater? WTF!? Government regulations are out of control.
ОтветитьI spell Missouri like this: MISERY. I don't care for ANY of the southern states because of the heat factor. I was born and grew up in the South, THAT'S ENOUGH for me!! I move as far North as I could get in the U.S. and I'm not leaving until I die. Then I might try Canada. LOL!!
ОтветитьNot being able to collect rainwater off your roof is GREED.
ОтветитьWild Hogs was a good movie. It made me smile. Go watch your female and POC superhero movies. You've more than shown that's who you are, Slssy.
Ответить"I wanna do it Gus, I wanna see that country/" "Aye God Woodrow."
ОтветитьAs far as rain collecting goes, I see itlike this; Since I pay taxes on My Land, And my Property runs from the ground Up to the Infinite Sky, then the rain is Mine to Collect!!
So until the government can control where the rain falls, they can kiss my butt!!!
The Wyoming’s land is owned by national parks and states parks and private ranchers .
ОтветитьWest Virginia has a lot of off griders also
ОтветитьWhat about Wisconsin?
ОтветитьWisconsin
ОтветитьIllinois really ur not aloud to catch rainwater or have a garden how are they on this list an u have to have a list an permits for everything i no i live here unfortunately an its so expensive here too :( my opinion
ОтветитьIf we can’t collect the rain water, can we charge them for putting their water on your land? Storage fees?
ОтветитьLived in Oregon my entire life the fact you “can’t” harvest the abundant rainfall make me want to boog
ОтветитьI love how casual @WorldAccordingToBriggs is when he mentions "sure, you have to deal with some cold winters" on these videos, LOL.
ОтветитьWhat are the worst states?
ОтветитьHow is Vermont not only not on the list but number one? I’ve lived off grid here for years. Most towns don’t even do building inspections.
Ответитьwhat a bout AZ??
Ответитьwhat about the immense amount of polution of soil and water and meat.
ОтветитьBut Missouri is in tornado alley..
ОтветитьLubbock is not a bad place to grow. Its actually west TX not panhandle that youre referring in Texas that is rough to grow. Try and start a farm Terlingua
ОтветитьAlot has changed since your video. The way states like Missouri are getting hammered with tornadoes and the freaky weather alot of states like Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, etc are getting hit with makes me wonder if there's any place where off grid living can be done. Added to that is the way laws are changing, and basically the way the whole USA is being affected with other things besides weather. Hopefully, not another 4 years of what we've had to deal with - incompetence, dementia, and a whole lot more.
ОтветитьHi Briggs, you mentioned a wind/solar product on Amazon for about $1000 during the Illinois segment. Do you have a link to that product? I did look thru this video links. Thank you ❤
ОтветитьFor all of the people coming to yjese Red States, I'm letting y p u know, keep your Democrat BULLSHIT whete you come from. It will not be totorated in the wilds.
ОтветитьWhen you said property prices in Texas are low, you lost me. 😂
ОтветитьYou just got a bunch of shit off Google and made some what of a list. This was not accurate information, I would go as far as to say ,at all. I am from Missouri , but Ive lived in iowa Nebraska and Kansas. Land is not cheap or readily available in any of them. Kansas Iowa and Nebraska have rain water collection restrictions. There are also lots of issues with wind turbines in all of them. Kansas Nebraska and. Iowa you will also have problems with solar connection and if you get land you're going to have to clear trees to build and collect solar or wind. Look i get you are trying to help but your so called list is really just setting people up for failure. I understand looking information up gets the general information but you gotta or at least should have lived in the places before giving advice on how things work in them. The 4 that i named as i said you are pretty much full of shit. Sorry, not sorry. You should have done better research.
ОтветитьLived off the grid on a boat for 40+ years mostly in Florida.
Ответитьthe climate in Wyoming is very forgiving and mild, its rarely windy or cold, even the most sensitive vegetables thrive there. So get your speedo, flip flops and come on over. Don't forget how wonderful the grocery stores are especially in the remote areas. And someone please find the narrator of this video and shove a mule dick up his ass.
ОтветитьTexas has the infrastructure with land mass oil production agriculture along with raising any type of live stock and they have a Sea Port they also control all of BNSF rail from Dallas/ Ft Worth area with all of that Texas could become there own Country 👍👍👍👍😁 plus they have a diverse weather conditions in that state as well and have been known to have some Real nice Looking Women there aswell 👍😉
ОтветитьI don't know why Illinois made the list. I moved out of Illinois, to Missouri, to live off grid. In Illinois you need a permit for everything - even to own a gun and build on your own land. So paying the government for permission to do anything you want adds up.
ОтветитьSome Iaws are meant to be broken. There is no way I would abide by an edict saying I am not allowed to collect water to sustain myself. I just wouldn't make it overly obvious. This is why a private piece of property is so valuable. People just need to stop being sheep and tell the elite to GFTS.
ОтветитьIf you build a house close to a small stream or a river with a little turbine on the side, you can produce your own electricity and filter your own water. It is possible you’re not off the grid if you’re paying for solar panels, and shit.
ОтветитьVery interesting.
ОтветитьWe have to go in the middle of nowhere just to be free. This is disheartening
