ОтветитьSylvia robinson was off her freaky freaky lol 😂
Ответитьthe last one hits different
ОтветитьThanks again 🍩
ОтветитьGod...take care of Dilla and send some form of him back to us. Didn't get enough while he was here amongst us. Beats is life.
ОтветитьLove
ОтветитьPeace to J Dilla! My favorite producer of all time.. Dilla’s beats were funky and smooth. Timeless
ОтветитьSomething that means something is overlooked bro
ОтветитьDilla is amazing
ОтветитьThat "Life" beat isnt even dilla smh its a remake lol everyone thinks its him...its similar to the og but its a remake
ОтветитьDrums🥁
ОтветитьI can remember hearing snippets of dilla beats on Adult Swim back when they'd show old home video quality videos of just adults swimming/chillin in a pool. If I'm not mistaken I think theyd always black out theyre eyes during those little snippets?
ОтветитьFinding the sample was the genius yet creating that timing on top of the mixing took the sound to a different galaxy. It’s easy making beats yet difficult to mix it right let alone get the Dilla feel. Every input of his was astronomical
ОтветитьTHATS WHY HES THE GOAT THATS WHY HES THE GOAT THE GOATTTT
Ответитьuses the least expected samples on his beats holy shiz
ОтветитьBill evans and Dilla drums are an ill combo. Bills the only pianist I’ve heard play those kind of grooves
ОтветитьI don't know if it's just the vid, but did Dilla sample alot of live performances?
ОтветитьHe could flip anything and make it sound good.
ОтветитьDamn the Make'em NV flip is crazy
ОтветитьGazzillion Ear was the first beat I listened to when I first heard about j dilla. Absolute masterpiece 💯🔥
Ответить"Say It" is a Christmas song....change my mind. 😁
ОтветитьAnother batch track 26 🔥🔥
ОтветитьSampling at its finest
ОтветитьAbsurdo
Ответитьi hope he's in heaven with all the ppl he sampled, probably trying to get a sample licences from them 😭
ОтветитьWhat he did to “kisses sweeter than wine” sheesh
Ответить❤❤
ОтветитьAs a beat maker, his techniques doesn’t impress me as his insane ear for snippet of melodies and how he seems to make a song around it. Sure his technique is insane on the MP, but if I had to compare it with his ears for sounds...childs play.
Sometimes I listen to samples he “decides” to use and they are questionable, but somehow he derived insanely dope music from it.
I could spend 5000000 hrs making beats and maybe come to a certain level of Jay Dee demand wise, but I feel 100% he was born with a talent for creating music from sounda he hears around him like no other.
Id say 99% of musicians are talented and of they work hard they become nice. But Dilla definitely had that 1% genius. I always felt this way since Fantastic vol. 2 dropped.
So many “wow really? You ran with that sample?” Moments.
