I got my first computer in 1978. I set up a computer bulletin board system (BBS) in 1982. I wrote the BBS program in BASIC for it. You had to dial in at 300 baud with a telephone line.
A national magazine, "Link-Up," picked my BBS as one of the ten best sites.
I was doing this before Google (1998), YouTube (2005), Yahoo (1994), and all the rest of them.
