The only unbelievable part was once the ship's officer found out that there was malfunctions on the ship, an emergency protocol should have been started and he should have awakened the crew. The idea that he would keep the ship in danger is ridiculous.

Love the movie. Allthough I often could see a somewhat dark/humourous show, about the outcome, dealing with all the red tape/insurance issues, and offices communicating between Earth, and homestead II, and the delay of messaging back and forth. Epecially if they had kids.....and inbred kids.

First female main lead in a scifi movie - Jane Fonda in Barbarella? He's a good actor but I'm surprised Laurence Fishburne was cast here due to his Matrix overtones? I think it's a great movie - looking forward to seeing the BluRay with deleted scenes - people seem to be overcritical about the technology issues - but the ending was rushed.

Real predators movie vibe from Morpheus in this one

Did anyone in these comments even see this movie? At the end they had planted plants for food. There were chickens literally running around. The food for the passengers might run out but they brought enough resources to seed an entire planet. Also why is there an argument on if a DECK CHIEF with acess to all the restricted areas is passenger or crew? He even claimed the ship as his. I didnt need to see the movie to put that together.

I was suprised by how much I enjoyed this mobie. Must of watched it 6 times by now. The style, the ship design, the story, the music, the romance, the drama. Even the acting is decent. The movies now one of my favs.
No suprise to me it wasn't more popular. Its hard to see brilliance in somthing as common as scfi these days.

I’ve heard the theory that if they had started the movie off with Jennifer Lawrence‘s character waking up and not knowing that Chris Pratt’s character was the one who woke her, it may have just made this movie so much more interesting.

Two people I couldn't care about less: Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt.

Why wouldn’t they have an extra set of pods for 25% of the passengers. And they should have had someone awake. Like a group of 10 people that stayed up for a year at a time and went in shifts. Boom. Any issues like this you can fix them. Along with having a second engine worth of supplies. These king of voyages would be essential for spreading the human race
