ОтветитьSea lamprey have devistated the fish population, then the alewife ate their eggs. The sea lamprey are being controlled and salmon have been introduced to eat the alewife. There is still downward pressure on the fish population. This man made disaster was due to canal expansion that allowed the alewife and sea lamprey into the Great Lakes.

ОтветитьDrive the entire south shore west to east, then South to the junction to Wausau in April. I found it a whole lot more interesting.
ОтветитьNick, excellent coverage of the U.P.!
You’ve managed to convey the harsh climate and toughness that are found here to the viewers!
Keep your great videos coming! 👍

ОтветитьI live in the UP. I want a world not overrun by rotten to the core braindead Trumpers OR psychotic liberal yuppies. Not many places left.
ОтветитьGot stationed in the AF there in 1977. Horrible cold and snow in the winter, mosquitoes that can drain you in the summer. Best way to seethe UP is in the rearview mirror.

Damnit man! Stop telling everyone about the goldfish!
Man, what a great video, and what a great description of the Da Yoop! Thank you sir. You have shed an accurate light upon us, and I tip my hat to you. Probably one of the most accurate videos I've seen about us....right down to the fact that we are a divided nation when it comes to football, ha ha.
Bashing Dems and denying climate change even though the lakes no longer freeze over all in one episode LOL. Nice
ОтветитьTo all you Trump loving morons claiming you own the U.P. maybe read a book on your history if you can even read
various immigrant groups significantly contributed to the development and population growth of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Early European settlers, including French Canadians, Cornish miners, and Yankees, arrived to support the mining and lumber industries. Later waves of immigrants, including Finns, Swedes, and Italians, also played a crucial role in shaping the Upper Peninsula's cultural and economic landscape.
Nick where is all your camera gear and drone made? What country?
ОтветитьYou need to go to the Keweenaw peninsula in winter. Just like Alaska. Gets an average of 300 inches of snow each year. It’s like paradise in the summer.
ОтветитьDetroit?😂
ОтветитьWhere did you get the idea there's only three Walmarts in the U.P.? Google says there's seven and nowhere do I see a count on Starbucks for the U.P. alone.
ОтветитьThere's an invisible line in Wisconsin you cross, and once you cross that line, you must wear your snowmobile jacket as your day to day jacket. I assume it's the same there.
ОтветитьBrrrrrrrrr 🥶 brrrrrr 🥶
ОтветитьI appreciate seeing the various states you travel through. I've seen about 15, but don't expect to see the rest. Anyway I've seen only a bit of them, your detailed traveling is much more in depth. I've been sadden by the homeless series, excited by the campaign series and
fascinated by general state series. Your interview style really gets folk to talk. And your "characters" are too cute!
Great videos, I enjoy your sense of humour, keep them coming mate...
