I have reaper and set up SSD, but when I hit a drum no sound. Is it the connections? What connections do I need into the laptop?
ОтветитьWhat if I don't want to make a million random accounts to get simple instruments
ОтветитьGREAT Vid and Plugin!!!
Thanks a lot!:)
Doesnt work.
ОтветитьThank you! Helped me learn Reaper and VSTs.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this. I been trying to connect my electric drums on a software to play a cover with good sounding drums. This is really good THANK YOU SERIOUSLY
ОтветитьWHICH BETTER MT POWER DRUM KIT OR THIS SSLD REALISTIC SOUND QUALITY WISE ?
Ответитьi hear no drums at even after
ОтветитьI have one question... Can I add an FX effect (reverb) only to the snare drum, for example in SSD5? Thank you for your reply
ОтветитьNo Linux???
ОтветитьI'm researching plugins and other computer recording info. I chose Reaper as my DAW, and subscribed because your tutorials are detailed, so here I am. MT Power Drum Kit is where I was heading, but this kit sounds good, and has a wide variety of sounds and programmable options. I'm not looking for "grooves", but want to program my drums. One thing I haven't seen specifically mentioned is hi-hat "chick", where a drummer only taps the hat with his foot. Have you come across that hi-hat option, besides open or closed? I'm just starting with computer recording even though I'm old and retired from the music biz. I'm not going to download a thousand plugins to then search through when I'm looking for a specific sound for a purpose. I want an organic sounding drum kit to select from, and would rather not load a bunch of drum plugins just to delete them after I find that they don't offer the things I'm looking for. I want specific coloring for every instrument, and a drummer chicking is something I want for some things. I played bass for a living for decades, and recognize drums all too well. A drummer playing rhythm on toms sometimes chicks time on hi-hat. It's a specific thing which I haven't seen as an option on reviews thus far. Your reply will be appreciated.
ОтветитьThe way I play midi drums, I'll take the grooves anyday.
Ответитьhow do you open the midi keyboard with SSD5??? i have no midi keyboard that plays the drums on my reaper
ОтветитьI've had this plugin for a while and still learned something new from this video. You're a legend Kenny!
ОтветитьHi Kenny. I'm having a bit of trouble loading the drum library. It says "No Base directory" I've missed something somewhere. Please could you advise? Looking forward to using SSD5.5 Free. Thanks, Paul.
Ответитьwith the free version can you get the cymbal bleed out of the snare kick and toms?
ОтветитьHi enjoy your videos I'm new to Steven slate drum software I have a question on all these pre-made drum loops what is the purpose of these as a drummer I would want to create my own drum loops therefore I surely wouldn't want to put these on the track and record them when they're not mine is there another purpose for them?
Ответитьhi I'm just learning Steven slate drum software I have a question having these pre-made drum loops is that just for people that would rather not play there drums through the software ? I thought was the purpose ? to me as a drummer I surely would only want to record my own drum projects and not add somebody else's drum projects to record is there another reason why there would be pre-made drum loops? Enjoy your videos keep up the good work
Ответитьenjoy your videos, I downloaded this Steven slate free version I have a question my e drum kit is the Alesis Nitro mess kit I'm running Windows 10 using Reaper as my software, everything is working fine through the software I just have one issue in the Steven slate drum set you see on the computer screen the small symbol just above the high hat is coming out as a splash symbol I do not like the sound trying to change it to a crash symbol I've tried the mapping with no success just shows a message you want to cancel mapping I can't do anything unless I close it. So I'm not sure how to change this symbol sound when I hit my crash symbol on my kit it gives the sound of a splash so I just want to change that to a crash what is the easiest way to do that thanks hope you can give me some suggestions keep up the good work.
ОтветитьI'm having mad issues when recording my electric dtx Yamaha drums with the slate , it is way too quiet when I'm recording, 😭 I even went through the slate drums mixer and turned every mic up, I feel like I've tried everything I could think of.. anyone have an idea as to what I can do ? They're extremely quiet.. somebody please help! 😢
ОтветитьVery effective video.thanks sir
ОтветитьI can't find SSD in instruments
ОтветитьBrilliant this..... I'm using Superior Drummer but I love the interface on this and that host feature looks great. Great video again.
ОтветитьI downloaded the plugins but i dont have the drum kit software. Why
ОтветитьKenny Great always!
ОтветитьWwooo realmente impresionante!!
ОтветитьThis plugin is free??? Geez....I'm amazed
ОтветитьHi Kenny! First off, thank you for all the tutorials. They ALL have been immensely helpful on learning Reaper. One question I have that I have been having trouble finding is how to record the midi and have it record the midi notes to the grid. I understanding being on time with the metronome can be a factor, but even when I just hit the snare to the metronome the midi notes are always off. Currently using a Yamah DTX502 electronic kit, Clarrett 18i20, and the block size in Reaper is set to 64 for e-kit tracking. My biggest issue is that the quantize function gets confused with some of our full drum parts, and manually adjust every note is incredibly time consuming. What else can I do to fix this issue? Thanks!!
ОтветитьI don't know what my problem is but my SSD 5 screen isn't look anything like yours. It says free version across the top and I'm not seeing hardly anything else that you are
ОтветитьI downloaded the plugin.
What do I have to do to get it to appear in my VST effects list?
This has been driving me insane
I’m a newbie to Reaper.
This is a great video for me start with it.
I’m quite interested to know how to center the vertical line when playing the tracks.
Thanks.
Thanks Kenny for your great Video. When I open this plug in in Reaper I see the drum set but there are no "Kit Present" as you have with"Deluxe2" and so on. What could be the problem here?
ОтветитьGreat intro! I just downloaded it and couldn't get any sounds out of it on a new track until I watched your tutorial. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you very much for share it, it's very helpful tutorial and awesome video ....Wonderful !!!!👍👍👍
Ответитьhermano, te agradezco, vi mil tutos, y el tuyo si me sirbio para resolver el problema de activar la bateria, gracias, gracias
ОтветитьThank you for yet another great video!!
ОтветитьThank you for making this easy to follow tutorial!
ОтветитьOn striking my alesis crash, it sounds like the SSD splash and not the crash on the reaper DAW.Any help would be appreciated. 👍
ОтветитьDoes this have the same midi map as Ezdrummer 2? Would be convenient for loops I got
ОтветитьHey are there any effects on the slate drums chain?
ОтветитьThis video implies that SSD 5.5 is already contained in Reaper. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm beyond tired of opening new accounts just for a supposed free plugin.
Ответитьcan you share your template? I just can't adjust the drum to use with piano roll like you do
ОтветитьThis is a great tutorial. SSD 5.5 is a really good plug-in too, even though it's free. It's sounds great and it's well worth using for most projects, unless you're at pro level doing film scores etc.
ОтветитьI tried to install it, reaper can't detect the plug in ☹️
ОтветитьGreat content! Thanks.
Ответитьmy reaper CRASHES everytime I open SSD 5.5. Any Idea???
ОтветитьI can't get this to work
ОтветитьHey man. Thanks for the content and help. Question: So right now I'm using slate drums in reaper and learned how to single out the drum outputs so I could control the volume of each one. But the problem i'm having is trying to figure how to get each one to have its own midi track when I play. For example: I have one midi track with the midi drum beat but i want to be able to single out the kick/ snare/ etc on its own track to mix it. Is there a faster way to do it instead of copying the full midi drum track, pasting it in the KICK drum track, and deleting everything else other than the kick? I hope that all made sense. Any assistance helps. Thank you!
