Queenslanders Urged To Finalise Cyclone Preparations | 10 News First

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has provided another update on Tropical Cyclone Alfred, urging impacted residents to finalise their preparations now and have an evacuation plan in place.

The Premier said the cyclone has continued to head towards the coast as predicted by modelling and will cross onto the mainland sometime between the late hours of Thursday evening to early Friday morning.

Gold Coast Airport has also advised it will close from 4pm today and have said that passengers affected will be contacted by their airline regarding their options to reschedule travel.
