Nintendo Just Talked About Switch 2's Reveal and it is VERY Confusing...

I remember thinking last year that Nintendo was clearing off Nintendo Switch stock for the holiday season and that the February Direct would be a Switch clearup direct and not a partner showcase and the console would release in November 2024.

It's possible the switch 2 first party games are not ready yet to be revealed. I remember hearing this from Nintendo themselves. Video games are going to take more time to make. Could be the reason why Nintendo didn't reveal or announce the switch 2 console. It possible the switch 2 console is done and Nintendo is sitting on it due to the switch 2 console first party games are not ready yet to be revealed.

For the rest of the year to them is until march.

Yes say lots of words Nin10doland, Nintendo likes to do the opposite of what you do so if you say it’s going to be the next year holiday announcement, then it’ll release like next week or something.

I honestly just think that it makes perfect sense to decline the reveal of Switch 2 a little longer, so that the upcoming releases will get the chance to be played by fans of Switch 1, and that way fans won't overreact enough to be tempted to wait for the next console before getting these games. The way I see it, Nintendo is simply collecting all the possible money they can get out of this opportunity, to maximize the chance of there never being another Wii U or Virtual Boy situation again. If I were to guess, I'd say the Switch's total lifespan would last 10-12 years. And even if what we have currently struggles to run some of the newer games, I still think what they're doing is a smart move. But that's just my take on it.

Either way, whatever happens, it's been awesome watching this truly stellar video game comeback unfold in front of us. I am looking forward to what this next console will bring!

Nintendo will not reveal the Switch 2 this year. There is no need, especially cause it’s backwards compatible. It would be like releasing another version of the Switch, and it would be anti climactic. Mind you, I’m sure there will be a whole list of great new features, that will make us backflip for joy🤣👍🥳

Nintendo will start announcing Switch 2 details in January 2025 and reveal at the end of March. Release in September 2025. I know everyone can't wait but please be patient guys

What we actually know about the Switch 2 is that it’s gonna be announced before April/backwards compatible, have the code name is “ounce”/electromagnetic joycon, and look and act like the current Switch. Anyway, I thought you were done talking about Switch 2 stuff.

I think there waiting for confirmation of all tue dsy 1 games before they announced it. They need to know whst releasing day, going to be announced after they announced switch 2 but is coming later and whats not really to be announced at all yet so the trailer they make matches whag going to be on the console when the releases or soon after

There is no official confirmation, all that leakers done are pure speculations. Furukawa said before the end of March 2025, this just means that before this date they will announce something , but the year are 12 months long.
