ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьI so appreciate this vlog and it’s perfect timing, too! I just crossed the border this afternoon. The border agent advised to keep an eye out on the wildfire reports as a portion of the alcan (97) is closed (due to the wildfires) near Prince George. But, I’ve been told that either choice of the Alcan or the Cassiar Highway will not disappoint and if possible to go up one and down the other. Bob is not exaggerating a bit! It is absolutely breathtaking! And my journey has just begun😊.
Hope to see and meet y’all at VanStock
As a long time alaskan resident I agree about B.C. being close. Also thumbs up for the Alaskan plate on your car.
ОтветитьNot sure if this is in real time--but there are a lot of wild fires all up north in BC and Alberta!! There may be some road closures as there are evacuations!! Please be safe Bob and all the best from Canada!!!😎😎
ОтветитьYou didn't bring your trailer? I'm in Iowa and we get the smoke from the Canadian fires. Last week we were on a air quality for almost 3 days.
Ответить⚠️FYI, bears can rip a car open like a can opener so 20 feet is too close. 😰
ОтветитьCan you get away with not getting any Canadian cash on that trip through?
ОтветитьLovely spot Bob. You sound so happy to be back home amongst the beautiful scenery. Safe travels! Looking forward to some more!
Ответить🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьBeautiful scenery!
ОтветитьDid you leave your little camper behind?
ОтветитьHi Bob, I live in Western Montana and recently took a trip to Bozeman and into YNP. I was very disappointed to see how little snow was in all the mountains throughout the entire trip. Now that I see those mountains there in AK, I am even more concerned. It is obvious that snowfall has been extremely light in all the North West and AK. It is going to be a horrible fire season unfortunately. Hopefully I am wrong. Enjoy your time out there. AK truly is a remarkable land. <3
ОтветитьDid you tell us how you find camping spots? If so, I missed it.
ОтветитьRoco is right now somewhere near you be great to see you and roco together again and his handlier oh forest something and he lives in a van with roco
ОтветитьGreat video Bob! A trip to AK is still on my bucket list. Either by driving or on a cruise. Maybe I'll take your ambulance when I win it...
Safe travels to all.
No washing dishes now? Paper plates or just wipe off food without soap and water?
ОтветитьA+++ Excellent Job! Great video! 💯🤩💯
ОтветитьWow gives me a reason to go to BC. Nice and beautiful scenery.
Ответитьhow are the mosquitoes up there this time of year?
ОтветитьMaking me miss home moved to AZ a year ago n missing AK badly this time of year
ОтветитьI love the "lunch stop" video...would love to see that daily😂
ОтветитьEnjoy your journey. Keep living and loving and spreading kindness as you do.
ОтветитьWe made the trip from Maryland to Alaska in Summer of 2022. We stayed in Alaska for about 10 weeks and drove home. What a fantastic trip. We made the journey in a Toyota Sienna minivan that we have converted to a camper. We mostly stayed in campground or provincial parks. I agree, if you have it on your bucket list, do it!
ОтветитьWhen driving thru Canada for a few days do you exchange to CAD currency or just use a VISA/MC ??
ОтветитьI am so looking forward to this vlog series. Can you please please provide GPS coordinates of your stops, or specific info about the roads and highways that you're taking? I would love to use your expertise to replicate this journey sometime....
ОтветитьHave a great time ! Shoot more video !
ОтветитьHome sweet home . I grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska but now live tiny in Arizona. We left in 2003.
ОтветитьLoving your Alaska bound trip. Many memories of driving with our fifth wheel in 2019. Can’t wait to see your adventures. ❤ from pa!

ОтветитьHow did you keep warm in the van at minus thirty? Is the highway to rough to bring your camper with?
Ответить: )
ОтветитьThanks bob. Im gonna go one day.
ОтветитьThank you!!!
ОтветитьHi Bob, I’ve been to BC just one time and would love to make my way up there when I finally get on the road. When you showed the logging it made me think of Maine. You can find a lot wood mills. I used to work in a plywood mill when I was a teenager. My niece works at a lumber mill as well. I just wish Maine had those gorgeous mountains. E do have Katahdin though and that is really pretty.
ОтветитьPrecious little information about finding any campsite of any kind. Far more time spent explaining a lame excuse for the year-round use of paper plates.
ОтветитьDid you beat the fires on the Alcan?
ОтветитьI like going up the Cassiar and coming back on the Alcan. I've done it six times.
ОтветитьHey Bob. Recently said hello in Whitehorse Welcome to Canada.
The trip to Alaska is a journey, not a destination. Thanks for confirming all this.
The National Parks can be busy but so much of the Canadian Rockies is outside the parks. Check it out.
Cheers from Yukon
What’s the point of camping anywhere where grizzlies reside. I mean, does anybody understand what a grizzly bear will do to a human being they hold you down and start ripping giant chunks of meat off your body until you bleed out no thanks
ОтветитьMy dad lives in radium hotsprings! I love seeing you there!
ОтветитьHope to make that trip some day !
But , not when it is 30 below zero !
This travelogue is awesome! 🎉 Thank you so much for making these videos!
ОтветитьAnchorage here , we’re waiting for you Bob ! 💙
ОтветитьLooking forward to this series. The Alcan to Fairbanks and back from the U.S. East Coast is on my bucket list!
ОтветитьMega dittos on the diet Pepsi!
ОтветитьLove your channel. Welcome to Canada eh!
