Another commenter mentioned this, but this Bucketfull of Brains 7" was NOT a flexi disc. It was a regular ol' "hard" vinyl 7".

Bit reminiscent of really good Ween, actually. First impression from someone who's listened to Ween for years and just heard about Bevis Frond less than an hour ago.

Anyone know what the reading at the end is from? "These dwellings were erected for the poor and needy of the district..."

And I've got the 7" flexi disc! Don't know where it is though

I was lucky enough to stumble on that Bucketful of Brains issue with the flexi-disc back in the day. Played the crap out of it, then found Time Will Show the Wiser. IMHO this is Nick's greatest work, only just beating "Earsong" to the title mind you!

my mom disliked him but had me and i love him.....

when i received his promo in my mailbox when i was in radio back late 80's,i could not get enough. I even turned other bands on to him.....

@donaldnewmanmedone I think it was first released as a flexidisc in about 1987. The track first appeared on vinyl LP on the Time Will Show The Wiser compilation from 1989.

I stumbled across this song way back when! I bought "A Bucketful of Brains" magazine on a whim when I was in England in 1989 or something. It had a flexi-disc EP attached to it. Played it when I got home to Australia and was simply blown away by this track! I played it over and over again. Nick has done some incredible work over the years. This, and Earsong are his two best IMHO. He is ready to record a new album BTW, so the insiders are saying.
