Another epic review mate!
ОтветитьAh yes the Outrider king of 111mm SAKs. Cool video dude.
ОтветитьI have the exact same knife but it has the additional pliers and metal file...Workchamp maybe? Victorinox, how can you go wrong?
ОтветитьAnother supreme SAK vid bud. Quick, exciting and informative. You should look at the Hunter XT next looks like a nice model . PS the fact you raw dogged a salami and cheese sandwich with no butter or condiments shows determination/mental instability 😂 Good video
ОтветитьIt is a great knife. My one gripe with it though is that the saw does not have a liner lock. The sharp back of the saw is absolutely awesome for scraping a ferro rod or fat wood off a stick to get that lovely soft pile of flammable resin wood to take that spark. That would make this knife 99% perfect because nothing is 100%. They are missing out on a trick here. I'm sure that the worry of a long blade closing on your fingers is more than a blunt screw driver.
ОтветитьAwesome review. Not sure about you loading your sandwich like a cheap corner shop though! 😂
ОтветитьGood review of the large SAK Outrider, ready for adventure. Fun channel liked and subscribed
ОтветитьAre the scales the same material as other SAK knives?
ОтветитьInformative and beneficial video
ОтветитьVery nice review, moite! Btw, what's your impressions on the 111mm bottle openers? I always thought they were a bit of an overkill for opening bottles, when compared to the 91mm or the 58mm models.
ОтветитьThanks for that review Aussie. Im going to purchase the outrider. Iv got the Huntsman, but im going to pass that on to my daughter. I want the outrider, it looks more substantial. It has a Philips driver too. 👍
ОтветитьThe one and done multitool package for outdoors. No tool on it isn't top of class.
Worth getting the 'victorinox fireant' insert for the corkscrew and covering it with some 'heat shrink tube sleeve' to protect it from wear.
I have also gotten some use from making the flat driver into a lockable chisel, just make sure you only file/stone grind down one side (the angled side).
I prefer the Hercules and Workchamp. Those small pliers are surprisingly effective at removing fish hooks and such, and the metal file/saw in the case of the Workchamp is also useful. Since I anyway pair my 111mm SAK with a fixed blade belt knife I am okay with the increased weight for the extra functionality in either a pouch or a pocket slip.
