Engineering has generators mate. Plasma and uranium spawns in every engineering somewhere. The generators are there to help kickstart the Tesla engine and whatnot.

Do not force people to use one without making sure your engies can run one.
The captain is there to make sure things run smoothly not make things worse.

Always fun to see a captain who somehow has 900 minutes in every department and still doesn't know how power, or the map they're working on works.

Actually working even though you've rolled an antagonist is pretty based. Once i rolled syndie agent as an atmos tech, kinda got carried away and was making frezon for basically the whole shift. After around 2.5 hours, when cargo had like 500k and the centcomm target was done, captain had relaxed a little and went on the traiding post with the rest of the cargo techs and KM to celebrate successful shift with tons of alcohol and some other fun cargo purchases, leaving his room unattended, so i was able to easily get there and steal his card and a jetpack. Obviously no one suspected a frezon addicted atmos when he noticed the loss, and i was able to get my easiest greentext without spending any TC.

my personal favorite thing to do with secret doors is, when nobody's looking (or sometimes even when they ARE, especially if im a mime), just replace the door to a minor role's office (the lawyer's office especially is very funny) with a secret wall and claim it as my hangout spot

Can Teg even solo power a station like a Singulo/Tesla? It’s probably because I’m bad at Teg but I can’t get the power up to those levels with just Teg

Pro tip to get the teg or tesla up. Use a pacman, they can supply enough power to turn on the emmitters and the PA for about 15 minutes. If you set everything up, then run the pacman on MV cables, you'll just need to tire it up.

ahhhh, Lars, the most metagamey command member. I remember one round on vulture, i, a self fired chemist (my chem machines were exploded and i kind of didn't feel like doing chemistry after that) had discovered that i was apparently chosen by god, so i went to become a chaplain. I went to the hop, who was Lars, and he said "no, get a job that is beneficial to the station." and adamantly REFUSED my requests, despite the massive amount of shit that was happening in the chapel because of divine intervention (shit like the lights being completely deleted, smile being made sapient, and eggs spawning). He also tried to have my ARRESTED for this, which thankfully the security knew spacelaw to know that was complete bullshit.

Are there no spare PA boards in tech storage on Cog? I know other maps have spares. Though in my experience, Cog's engineering department is woefully underequipped.

Fun fact i once ruin a thief run by uh accidently uncovering his hidy hole and also warden just so happen to be there watching a hidy hole to be discovered. Got some good loot in there i manage to yoink.

We all, we all get engineering access, and then just assume the grace of god will insulate us.
Also if the captain himself is sabotaging station equipment, that is ahelpable.

One TA on cog sounds hellish. Had a round yesterday where I latejoined as CE and forgot where the gens were so we got to the point it was physically impossible to kickstart the singlo and thus everything else on the station.

Did I mention it happened in 9-15 minutes? Cog is very power hungry.

Off topic, but rounds where the antags help out are funny.

I remember an antag round where my kill target (a clown) kidnapped CMO, leading to me rescuing CMO (new player cowardice meant I didn't kill him in front of CMO, he later randomly died in maints), I stole stuff from the absent HoS and QM's office, then a skeleton stole my clown target's outfit and attacked people on departures, wherein I fought him with my salv knife and energy shield. (I probably didn't need to, I was just thinking "I'll be darned if some imposter wearing my kill target's outfit ruins this shift for me, HAVE AT THEE")
Went to centcom with full greens open carrying the energy shield because there were no secoffs (low pop) and I'd helped the station more than harmed it.

I remember telling this story on discord, and this video chronicles it way better than I can. I think I was playing botanist, vainly trying to roleplay it like "well, at least no singularity means no risk of it destroying the station, right?"

on ss13, ss14 and unitystation you can start a particle reactor with a simple pacman or solar loop.
but without the console it's a lot more complicated.

I dont play ss14, but holy shit this cap hurt me physically, this mf should be rolebanned immediately from command. when i play cap or any command role on 13, i prefer a handsoff approach and let people do what they want, i will NEVER tell people what to do as captain, only to my own department as a head.
