I have never rated Springsteen much, all that blue collar working class hero stuff failed to convince me. However, every track on this album is perfect and I never tire of listening to it. Thank you Bruce.

One of his best songs. And I remember how moved and shattered I was when I first heard it.

This past week California has had some monster fires devouring land and some structures. Prayers have been answered. The Sand fire is 85% contained. Two of the fire fighters on that fire line lost their homes. Another fire fighter lost his home while he
was fighting a fire in San Deigo. We pray for God to have mercy on Del Sur and bring that fire under containment, as well.
God Bless the Fire Fighters and their families, and help us to help them in the rebuilding process. Ashes to Ashes in todays economy is ovewhelming.

The minister at our UU church used this song as a memorial to 9/11. very moving and appropriate.

I was thinking a lot of this song again with the Grenfell Tower fire in London these days...

This song helped me deal with the Death of my Sister then my Mother who died two weeks apart in separate car accidents. I love this song.

This whole album is the perfect musical tribute for all of us who were affected by 9/11. Bruce Springsteen is a wonderful musician who gave us the words and music of healing for that horrific day.

If goodness and decency needed an album to symbolize it, it would be The Rising.

To this day, all the first responders and people dead in this tragedy are spit upon by the higher powers in Washington that are still inconditionally supporting the unholy wahhabi Saudi government and its terrorist al-Qaeda branch.

But hey, Russian election meddling, right?

Could very well be the greatest, most moving, most historicly significant album ever. Bruce said it of a departed friend of his, but when they built Mr. Bruce Springsteen, they truly broke the mold.

Such a brave man to release the rising album in on nor of 9.11 victims legend

Because that could have backlashed him and destroyed his career

Love the man but his to outspoken in his beliefs

Bruce Springsteen deserves accolades for more than his 9/11 tribute. Years before that, he saved Vietnam Veterans of America from bankruptcy by donating the entire proceeds of half a dozen of his concerts to support us. Entire box office, mind you; didn't even rake off his expenses. Vietvets have never had a non-military friend better than Bruce. Let's edit that. Vietvets have never had a better friend than Bruce.

For this Brit, this is one of the most beautiful songs about what it is to be an American. As The Boss said, it's easy to let the best of yourselves slip away. God Bless America.
