Good morning Martyna. I just installed a PointGuard Home system on my house. Here in California we can't install Tesla batteries stacked like you show them. There has to be 3 feet clearance between each battery and each door or window into a living space. This means you wind up needing a LOT of clear wall space. The PointGuard system is far more compact. Additionally because we had PSPS events we had already installed a generator and the PG system allows for this in their Power Hub "Gateway ".
It uses 2 8kWh battery modules for a total of 16 kWh of storage.
Additionally, we have seen a lot of people specifically refusing anything from Tesla on their home.
So far it has worked perfectly.

Tesla quoted us a dc expansion and they wanted $6000.00 just to install. I mentioned to them that they are insane. I also mentioned that I thought if it took an hour I would be surprise (I wanted to be kind). My installer quoted $8600.00 (They did a great job on my installation. Very happy with them, but I thought that is a little high since Tesla posted the cost of dc expansion pack for $5900.00. I was a contractor (mechanical) and I believe the confusion is adding to the noise of installing solar. I hope the industry gets their act together. I understand profits margins all to well, but you need to be careful in the present environment.

You missed that by adding one or more DC expansions the battery charging rate changes from 5 kW to 8 kW.

I think twice before buying telsa products, I rather that 8 million dollars a day goes to grandma social security check. Boycotting telsa.

Happy belated B-day Martyna. I can't place your accent. Where is it from? 😂 Indeed. Batteries are awesome! I've built my system with a custom Tesla module controller, 8 Tesla modules currently and Enphase micros. The whole thing acts as a whole house UPS to keep the mission critical servers and internet equipment going during long outages. It's also great for working with grid response systems that disconnect you from the grid during high demand. Once I relocate to Texas, I plan on building a much bigger system for off-grid (probably a container worth of modules).
