The Strain Quinlan tells Eph his story

I always found it so strange that Eph was the only one to show any interest in how Quinlan's biology works. How much does he need to eat? Only from humans or animals too? Does he sleep? And he's like a living history book! What was it like in Rome? What did people eat? Does he know any roman jokes? What was it like during the Black Death? What time period was his favorite?

I honestly wished the show showed Quilans backstory in full detail of how his biological mother birthed him or who took care of him in his first years of life.

And also the wished the show showed other potential Half strigois since pregnant woman where probably no doubt being fed on like anybody else

So he's a Daywalker like Blade?

Does Quinlan remind anyone of Alucard from Castlevania?
