It has extra motor mount reduce vibration
ОтветитьIs it tippy on the trail? I know two guys that run 2020 backcountry and they both complain on the trail they are tippy.
ОтветитьHow u liking it now? I'm debating this since I prefer off trail. Trail riding for me is pretty boring and it makes me naseous lol. I bought my first sled this year and quickly realized it was the wrong one for what I wanna do most off. I live in Onaping, Ontario. But my God the colour of the 24 XRS backcountry this year 😂😂😂
ОтветитьHey Mike, it's been a full season with your Backcountry. What do you prefer? I'm torn between a Renegade X or a Backcountry. My riding style is the exact same as you.
Your thoughts?
Just checked a 24 600 efi 2 weeks ago. If I like it I might try out a 600r etec next year. 850 scares me
Ответить146 is where the money's at! I switch from a renegade to a Backcountry and I won't go back. I ride 80% trails with a 1.6I.C track and snow trackers. Things on rails🙂
ОтветитьI have 14 renegade bc x 1"3/4 16"w I also have 18 renegade xrs 1"2/3 15"w ice cobra. The difference between the two tracks is very noticeable. That extra inch width does make difference. In the deep snow 16"w just gets on top where 15"w doesn't get up on top not as quick. On the trail the 16"w plain hooks up better, where 15"w is much faster at the top end. My 14 has about the same foot print as your bc x. I just wish ski-doo offer a 16 " w track 1"3/4 track . To me if you buy bc x 16"w track 2" lug then it is like buying summit and it isn't an idea track east of the rocky mtns. I would consider cutting qtr inch off the 2" lug to have that 16" w track just based off the 14 bc x I have. Just for you and everybody to think about.
ОтветитьLove me some 146 crossovers! Awesome video boys!!
ОтветитьGlad you're liking it! 1700 Mi on my 2022 Backcountry and I absolutely love it. I enjoy the fact that I have no fear now to go off Trail into The Cattails and can hop back on the trail and enjoy the groomed trail riding as well!
ОтветитьIm riding the bcx, I will say my assault is a better more capable sled overall. Faster, and handles the trails much better. Polaris just has the front end sorted out, the doo is still darty. The fit and finish on the doo is still better though.
ОтветитьMike strange question our season has been so bad here in NY if you only had time to do one trip in the next month or so where would you go keep in mind where 6 hrs from the border and we're not going to know our way around to much so day loops would probably be the most feasible thanks for any suggestions 👍👍👍
ОтветитьComing off of an old arctic cat crossfire I really missed the adjustable bar height. Went with the skidoo adjustable riser on my xterrain. I think it’s a great feature for crossovers, i drop it on the trails when i want to hang on the bars through corners and bring it to the top off-trail for more leverage.
ОтветитьKinda bummed u didn't show the off trail portion of the video...just rode trail. I got 18 renegade backcountry and honestly i think its plenty of sled for what snow we ride in. Unless u take to the mountains it should be fine right out of the box for where u ride
ОтветитьForgive me if it was mentioned in the video , but what size lug is on your bcx? 2” ?
Thanks !
Really enjoy the channel btw 🤘
Congrats on the Sled Mike that thing is sweet. I love the color!
I am from the United States and ride the upper peninsula Michigan a lot and I was thinking next week to go up and ride from Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa, I tried calling a couple places and looked on the website at the trails, but is there anyway you could figure out a trail report or if that would be a good ride I just wanted to make sure the trails are in good shape and groomed any pointers how I could go about that? And how do I get a permit?
I believe they have a c motion rear skid like my 20 bcxrs which has tipped rails so she should feel like a shorter sled on the trails
ОтветитьFor 2023 they added 1 more engine mount to eliminate more of the vibrations. I have a 22 600r etec backcountry love the sled!! But the vibrations are pretty bad. The wind guards and the low windshield rattle.
ОтветитьI do wish Ski-Doo would take the Polaris approach to track offerings. The Gade’s you just get a 1.25 Rip Saw or 1.25/1.5 Ice Ripper. Neither is very good off trail. An Ice Cobra and 1.5 Storm would be nice options for those of us that don’t want to buy 2 sleds. I know you can swap, but then you’re stuck with having to sell the take off track.
Love the colour scheme on that BCX.
I would actually give that shorter riser a chance. Looks like the 4.7" stock Doo riser. If you do try to go off trail, it's best to be in a knee bent stance. It give you more control using your body weight (legs) to transfer the sled side to side, vs a tall riser and only using your upper body.
I'm 5'10" and I found that's a great height for me. 4." + the 1" rise from the bars.
Could have just got a lynx rave, seems to handle about the same and works well off trail
ОтветитьU guys coming to penatang on the 18th..to review my boost
