Miami Vice, NYPD Blue, and The West Wing could each be considered the best show of their decade.

LA Law was my favourite '80's show.
It wasn't as flashy as Miami Vice but it was grown up rather than Sonny Crockett's immature posturing.
(Tubbs was cooler anyway).
Best characters were Victor Sifuentes, the righteous champion of the downtrodden, Anne Kelsey the kickass female trading punches with the guys, and Arnold Becker the damaged and self destructive womaniser whose behaviour cost him the marriage he'd always wanted.

My family movie 👍

How this man hasn't been nominated for an Academy Award yet is lost on me...
