The Adobe Muse workflow

Can you import a template, and modify it using Muse?

It really looks quite easy no code to bother with, I might get hooked on this Web Creation Software.

Great introduction, many thanks. But I'm curious: I'm actually the guy designing my whole website using Photoshop (complete layout, style, buttons, content etc.) and THEN building my website upon my created assets and layout. How would that workflow look like?

what if i would like to upload a video from the computer, i don't want to upload it to internet because the website will be only available for intranet. What are my solutions ?

I named the webpages with Greek characters but when I exported to html the menu did not work. Does it support international characters?

Thanks for your reply. I just checked it in Firefox and it works OK but it does not work in IE8. When I click a menu item, the address bar, instead of the correct Greek characters, shows the name with strange characters and symbols e.g. ÎºÎ±Î½Î¿Î½Î¹Ï Î¼Ï Ï .html and the webpage is not displayed.

I does not work with IE9 either!

Hello Rufus, I have only a small question. Does the Muse allow me to somehow make the dropdown menu more elegant? I mean only some small animation of it rolling down (when mouse hovering above it), and then rolling up (when mouse goes out). And also if I can change the appearance of the dropdown menu? Your video is more than good, it explained me almost everything I needed, thank you very much!

Hi there! You can personalize all widgets in Adobe Muse. They are basically the building blocks, then you can replace the states, etc... with your own content, color schemes, and so on. Hi Paul, I am afraid that Muse and Bridge are not connected. You need to import images for Muse Galleries from the widget itself. Not that much harder, really. Cheers, Rufus

Hi there! I don't think that prototyping for Dreamweaver using Muse is the path to follow. Muse generates it's own code and it is ideal for when it is published directly from Muse. You can give it a try though. However, now that Photoshop can export CSS data, I would definitely start designs there, and then hand off the PSD to the developer, who now has much more information (CSS) than in the past.

Nice tutorial Rufus. Very well explained. However it would actually be perfect if we could view this on higher resolutions so it would not blur out when switched to full screen.

I'm a photographer... Is it possible to make a secure privacy shopping page with a scramble code where clients can go to see and order their photos on a the muse website?

This would be database driven. Muse does not support that type of content management system yet. However you could use Paypal to create the shopping cart and then add the HTML to your Muse website. Let me know if that worked.

I disagree with you there. I thought he was very high energy and enjoyed listening to him. I often run into tutorials were the instructor was mono-tuned and boring to listen. Rufus was not the case.

When you say "yet", does that mean that there are future plans for it? A content management system (or CMS) in Muse is crucial for me, as I would like to offer content management to my customers, but it normally requires a good deal of coding. And I am not a coder. So can we look forward to seeing an easy CMS solution that works out of the box on your own domain (and doesn't involve Adobe Business Catalyst or similar)?

would i be able to create a site that allows subsciptions?and is there a way for me to specify that if you "click" something a number will go up?. for example facebooks like button where you click it and the number of likes goes up.
