Love it! I use the phrase "Kittens playing not tigers ripping each other's effin' throats out."
ОтветитьBeen in several schools where this is never even discussed (with white belts or kids) when first learning submissions.
ОтветитьGold words
ОтветитьYeah, I try to say this sort of thing to all the people in my class. Often. This should just be every other video everyone makes.
ОтветитьLove it coach!
ОтветитьBeing bendy and stubborn, accepting to tap is the most difficult thing when you know there is a move to escape your situation.
Ответитьvery importan thing
ОтветитьSuch important information!
ОтветитьAbsolutely critical concept!
ОтветитьCriminally neglected topic. Awesome to hear today's thoughts, coach.
ОтветитьMuy cierto!!!! Bendiciones!!!!
ОтветитьI always go hard, I’m currently broken 😂
ОтветитьCan you talk about people that have a more competitive mindset that think they need to smash every training session? A common problem I find.
ОтветитьWe can't forget it is also on the training partner themselves to tap in a timely manner otherwise they'll just take advantage of this . If I'm in an armbar I'm not gonna wait until my arms at the point of breaking before I tap I'm gonna tap as soon as I realize they've got me or I can't escape
ОтветитьYep, just got an injured knee on a leg lock done quickly. Fortunately, not too serious, but I'll be out a couple of weeks due to swelling and bruising.
ОтветитьReally appreciate this vid, Coach. Would like more of this type of content since I’m starting to run some BJJ classes. Have you heard any of Greg Souders’ podcast appearances about “ecological” approaches to training? Supposedly Penn State applies it for their Wrestling program too. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts in a future video.
