great detailed review!...what mileage did you experience, and what would you guess you might add with the available range extender battery
Ответитьwow lightweight with a removable battery
ОтветитьWhere can I find this bike
ОтветитьWould you choose the 10 speed hands down over the belt drive?
ОтветитьI was bummed out when they discontinued the V2 but had reached out to Ride1Up and they did tell me that a V3 was on the way, this was just last week so to my surprise was shocked at how quickly this came out. I definitely plan on getting one in the belt drive version . I live in a very flat city and the belt drive class 3 city bike is a dream come true especially with the throttle that’s just icing on the cake. Can’t wait to get one. Nice review and great work Ride1up!
ОтветитьGreat review! Please make a head-to-head comparison of this and the Prodigy V2. Which features you think are better? What upgrades you’re looking for on the PV2 in the future? Differences on motor, pedaling feel, shifting, etc.? Just curious about your thoughts on both. Have a great day!
ОтветитьWhen you did throttle only. Was the watts meter bar almost peaking?
Ответить@ebikeescape - did you weigh the bike or are you using the manufacturer info for the 39 pound weight? EBR says it weighs 44 pounds.
ОтветитьWhat happens in two years when that battery dies and the bike is discontinued?
ОтветитьFinally, someone shows what the throttle can do! Great video thank you
ОтветитьTopgun review 👍
Weight? Range?
Great review. Please make a comparison between this and the velotric T1 st plus. Also would you mind weighing it, another reviewer weighed it at 44 lbs with batt
ОтветитьThis is an incredibly good commuter. I mean they've nearly perfected the roadster with thses upgrades
Ответить@EbikeEscape Are the fenders removable?
Ответитьhow comfortable is this bike suspension?
ОтветитьI’m looking to get an e-bike for commuting to work about 7 miles each way. This is a potential option. On days that it is raining, would water splashing from the ground be a big issue on those wires underneath the frame? I can imagine the wheel spitting water there consistently if it’s rainy.
ОтветитьCan you charge the battery directly when detached? Or does it have to be charged when in the bike?
ОтветитьI'd love to see a side by side with the pedal assist with a chain drive and a belt drive, esp for max speed under full power and assist. I'm in the market for a spare bike for casual/social riding but I absolutely do not want a chain. Very concerned about the off brand belt drive and no gears on this one though. Thinking I may need to do a mid drive with a cvt out back. But I love the sleek sleeper look of this bike and the well done cable management.
ОтветитьLooks like it was much better than the ST1 Plus on the hill climb test.
Ответитьmine is on the way...can't wait. thanks for the great video. it really helped.
ОтветитьLooks so much better in black; disapointed you didn't reviewed the belt one, no maintenance and no dirty oil is a must also no wear on the parts and much less parts to worry about breaking or needing to repair, maintain or tune
ОтветитьDoes the hub have any drag when not being powered? I'd like to see you pick up the rear end, spin the wheel and see how it coasts.
ОтветитьA suspension seat post is a must for commuters.
ОтветитьIs the removable battery able to be charged separately?
ОтветитьCan i ride this bike in Europe?
ОтветитьThis is the best lightweight ebike implementation i’ve seen so far. Respect! I wish it came in XL size for us big boys.
ОтветитьMan it looks good in black. All the other reviews, the paint was in mint. This might be my first ebike.
ОтветитьSeems heavy compared d to Canyon or Specialized, but those are at much higher price point.
ОтветитьIn your cf racer video, you stated the max watts per setting. Do you know the max watts in eco and tour mode? Also does eco give assistance all the way to 28mph?
I'm looking for something that will push me close to 28 mph when I'm peddling around 200-250 watts of leg power.
They are now coming with 9 speed Microshift. They also have been continually delaying shipments. BUMMER
ОтветитьAny thoughts on Ride1Up switching out the Shimano drive train for microSHIFT? I'm not familiar with microSHIFT... do you think that's a step down?
Specifically, they switched to using:
• microSHIFT Advent 9-speed derailleur instead of the Shimano Deore 10-speed derailleur
• microSHIFT 11-36T cassette instead of the Shimano 11-36T cassette
• microSHIFT Advent trigger shifter instead of the Shimano Deore 10-speed Rapidfire trigger shifter
Not buying an e-bike until they start using USB-C charging cables. No way I'm lugging around or keeping track of a special charger just for my e-bike.
ОтветитьGreat video and review and awesome bike! Thanks a lot! I have a question: What app do you use on your phone to measure speed?
PS. Unfortunately, I recently bought a Superhuman Photon Pro bike with which I am very disappointed, otherwise, I would definitely buy this one. For almost the same price, this bike offers much more. And it still works perfectly, which unfortunately cannot be said for my Photon Pro.
Great review! You’re the first person to talk about the derailer/shifter combo and it was very helpful. I live in Wisconsin too. I live in Stevens Point where it is way less hilly than Wausau. With Ride1Up changing the chain version away from Shimano Deore to a MicroSHIFT unit, I’m leaning towards the belt drive version. Your review has helped me a lot with my decision. You just picked up another subscriber. Thanks again!
ОтветитьCan you add a stem riser to this bike? I prefer more upright position and most road bikes are too low for me?
ОтветитьPlease reach out encourage them to switch back to Deore drive train. Get the word out. Thanks I’m hoping to change this so I can go ahead and purchase it.
ОтветитьMicroshift 👎
ОтветитьI got mine a few days ago — goodbye vanmoof — and I kinna love it. It rides great, the gears are great, I can’t wait to start my roadster commuting tomorrow! ;)
ОтветитьWhat variation of size bikes are available? Small medium large? Step through options for women on smaller frames?
ОтветитьHow many bottle cages? Does the company sell a bike rack? Any travel bags for a bike rack and or handlebar bags?
ОтветитьIs the gear range for the Shimano Deore group set, the same range for the belt drive version? Thank you. Best wishes.
ОтветитьI received my ride1up roadster v3 the other day and am very very happy with it, other than the Microshift cassette and derailleur. I am really considering purchasing a shimano CUES CS-LG400-9 cassette and cues derailleur to replace the Microshift or maybe something even higher scale. Any advice?
Ответить10 speed? Website says 9spd.
ОтветитьThanks very much for this! What parts may be swapped out to shave some weight?
ОтветитьVery nice bike review. Good Job!
ОтветитьCan the throttle in any way be temporarily removed? I’m starting to see more class 1 signs posted on some of my favorite trails
ОтветитьGreat bike but it needs an adjustable stem and rear motor disconnect to take back tire off.
ОтветитьCan you charge the battery when it is removed from the frame?
ОтветитьThe best review !!! Great job! Thanks . I am in Canada and now I am trying to figure out how to purchase it. The delivery to Canada is $400 which is substantial…. May be I will go to SAN Diego one day and will go to their store to get it. Also, I am 6’3” - do you think this bike will fit me? Thanks!!
