Im gen X, and while i personally wouldnt wear the colored/shaped patches (like the yellow star ones) at a job, as it would look unprofessional to wear a bright bandage or sticker on your face. But when i did retail the dress codes were VERY strict even for min wage.
But i personally have worn the clear ones in public as a mid 40s adult. Not for pimples much anymore but i have tendency to pick at skin under my eyebrow and end up with open sore generally 2-3x a year. Patches promote healing and keep my grubby hands off to keep me from making it worse.
Generally speaking you shouldnt wear them 24hrs though. Ideally wear one overnight and then give skin a break during day. Unless you are a picker ;)
She was complaining about the cute ones, which means she probably also doesn't like cute makeup. Pimple patches take away the pain. That said, if you really want effectiveness, get the hydrocolloid bandages. Those will suck out the gunk, and look hella strange. Sort of like we all used to look because all we used to have was bandages, and we kept quiet about it, didn't we?
ОтветитьI’m a millennial and I wear pimple patches out. Would it be better to cake makeup on an oozing wound? 💀
ОтветитьLost oppertunity to comment on her post "Im gonna wear pimple patches this summer"
ОтветитьKaren in the making
ОтветитьPlasters= bandaids, for us Americans lol
ОтветитьRich and poor people 100s of years ago did the same thing to cover blemishes or just to be fashionable 😭 insane. Fashion is constantly changing, and crying about small things like that is absolutely useless!
ОтветитьThis is so dumb I assumed it had to be rage bait too. Eeesh how embarrassing to think being a mean girl online like this would get people on your side
ОтветитьI have never seen such a nothingburger
Ответитьi understand the use of pimple patches and have even used them myself. but i do think the bright coloured star face ones are goofy af. i think the clear ones are much better but that’s a personal opinion. i also wouldn’t speak like that tiktoksr did about someone nor care if someone was wearing them
ОтветитьI got nervous seeing Ethan in the thumbnail cuz I like his content, then was relieved that he’s just here to back that kid up!!
ОтветитьShe’s swimming in her jacket. She should get that taken care of
ОтветитьShe lost me when she called her genx but also shes a kid shes not a professional lol leave that baby alone😂
ОтветитьAs somebody who is in charge of hiring, I agree about the gen z work ethic being shit. However, how is somebody else wearing pimple patches affecting your life??? So weird
ОтветитьI'm in my 30s, and that this young woman (who is definitley old enough to know better) is just being a bully. I can understand thinking brightly colored pimple patches or bandaids look unprofessional or immature, that's an opinion someone could have, but she went about saying her opinion in perhaps the meanest, most genuinely immature way possible.
Ответить“a ‘woman’ 4 years under the legal working age” so a child? she’s bothered over a literal child ….
ОтветитьPimple patches are a cute alternative to having a gross infection filled pocket visible. They're also typically medicated. Shes just looking for something to go viral with even if it's for the wrong reason
ОтветитьWhat about Nelly’s tape he wore on his face back in the day? 😂
Ответитьlmao so many teens wear pimple patches in public 😂 especially the star ones
ОтветитьAnnoying influencer thinks her opinion is important. Nothing new here. Babe, take the tight bun out. It's frying your last brain cells. 😒
ОтветитьIt's a store why tf do you need to be professional.
ОтветитьI cant imagine sitting down and recording myself complaining about something that has no impact on me whatsoever
ОтветитьWait, wait, wait.
Like… wow:
1. You believe the girl was 4 years under the working age, so, at most, what, 12? and your problem is with what she is WEARING? WHY IS SHE WORKING THERE
Now. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t believe the girl was too young to work. It happens, but more commonly, a 19-yr-old can look like a child still (I was accused of being 13 frequently at that age despite being employed operating rides at Disney).
She’s upset that someone who she thinks is TWELVE is being “UNPROFESSIONAL.”
LET THAT ONE SINK IN.
Ummm is she even Gen Z if she’s TWELVE?!
I’m sorry but I can’t get over her claiming this is a child laborer and then complaining that they don’t dress professionally enough…
“Gen Z is lazy and unprofessional” they’re mostly kids.
Not all kids are lazy and some are even enthusiastic about being professional. But come on, folks. If you weren’t a tot lazy unprofessional ass you were one to some degree at some point (it’s impossible to know things you don’t know yet) and you CERTAINLY had peers who acted that way at their age!
It’s not generational! They’re younger than us! Why do we perpetually do this shit lol
Who the fuck is she to dictate what people do… and the airport…?!
What year does she think it is? People have been dressing comfortably for flights for DECADES. Piss off, I ain’t getting fully dressed just to squash myself into a seat between two strangers and like watch a movie and fall asleep for 3 hrs or whatever. How the hell does that make sense?!
“They’re basically plasters” this is the correct answer bro
ОтветитьShe’s acting like the girl had a post-it on her face 😂
ОтветитьNoooo 😂 don’t say band-aid. I love hearing the Bri’ishisms ❤😂❤
ОтветитьFor me personally, and I would never call it out or be mean about it, but a big visible pimple is gross. That is going to distract me and make me way more uncomfortable, vs a pimple patch which is just like… it’s nothing, it is so much like a plaster/band-aid it’s a no-brainer like who is gonna care
ОтветитьPro tip: whenever you find yourself trying to control something about other people that doesn’t cause any kind of harm whatsoever to anyone… that’s probably a sign of control issues and you might want to schedule an appointment with a therapist (not an insult; people who go to therapy are usually saner than those who pretend they don’t need it).
ОтветитьI might think to myself why would you wear those to work… but I’d continue to go about my day an never think about it again. I would never care enough to make a video about it or complain about it. It also would never cross my mind to think she’s lazy or unprofessional 😂
Ответить- It's either look at someone's pimples, or look at their pimple patch.
-Concealer can make pimples worse and increase the risk of bacterial infections So I don't think anyone should ever recommend this option to anyone from a medical standpoint.
- some people like myself do pick pimples, and so keeping them covered makes more sense so we dont introduce bacteria.
- pimple patches are designed to help keep pimples covered so we don't pick at them, and they also often deliver a little bit of medication that can actually help heal the pimple.
-From a medical standpoint, what the pimple patch teenager is doing is perfectly acceptable and probably the best route.
- From the vain woman's point of view, she is basically just saying that the pimple patch teen is just isn't attractive enough for her eyes and doesn't meet the high aesthetic standard that this particular vain woman wants everyone around her to hold, so that she's always looking at beauty and nothing ugly.
-It's pretty ridiculous honestly. I think that this woman just needs to get over herself. The world does not revolve around her. And the pimple patch teen should just continue doing what she's doing and I fully support it and so do many others. I think this vain woman just needs to mind her own business.
"what are y'all gonna be wearing this summer" pimple patches and the fucks im not giving you or your opinion 🥰
ОтветитьHey everyone. I'm the pharmacist in the video! Thank you @callummarkie for bringing attention to this. No one should feel ashamed for their acne and pimple patches.
ОтветитьWhats funny is her and everyones reaction to her is the reason i recently bought some pimple patches for myself haha
ОтветитьShe just hates sadly I feel like if this girl was going "natural" she probably would of had a problem with the fact that you could see her pimples and that is unprofessional because she isn't taking care of her skin or appearance and if this was a teenager in our peak acne period shame on her to pick on a natural thing we cant control.
Ответитьi was expecting "guys i went to a pharmacy and the pharmacists pimple patch fell on my hand as they were handing me my medicine!" but its literally just something on someone's face... but it "happened" to her.
ОтветитьHer voice is so grating.
ОтветитьOoof, total mean girl energy.
Ответитьimagine judging the appearance of a tween/teen when you're a grown ass adult. Get a life lady, you better not have said anything to that sweet teen just doing their job....
ОтветитьI work in the medical field and I use pimple patches regularly.
ОтветитьIf this lady is so upset about this young lady using pimple patches, yes, it's a mean girl move. Maybe she is practicing to be a "Karen". Did she ask for the young lady's manager to get her fired? Do we need another "Karen" running around spouting gibberish?
ОтветитьYou said plaster and I was so confused like are you building a house to cover a pimple 😭😂😂
Also don’t wear these in anything food service related. Health code violation. If they happen to fall into food… well you know that’s just gross. That’s why you’re supposed to have certain bandaids for food service.
If she's a tween then she's not Gen z 🤣🤣 I hate my generation sometimes 🤦♀️
ОтветитьI find that the cute patches work a bit better than the ones that are supposed to be invisible. I only wear them at work if it’s a really bad pimple. But I have to wear them or I will scratch my face too bad.
ОтветитьHot take: She just seems like a high school mean girl who never grew up. Literally no one cares, ma'am. No one cares.
