I have difficulty understanding the term "reverse sweep". Sorry a sweep is 3-0 and when you barely win 3-2 it isn't a sweep in any form, reverse or whatever. Makes no sense.

There was no floor defense being played in this match.

I went and check the stats to confirm this impression, and in five full sets, Iran only had 37 digs, and the USA only had 38.

Compare that to USA's first match against Ukraine where the digs were 41 for Ukraine and 45 for USA in only 3 sets.

Or maybe Italy v Germany last week, where in 5 sets, Germany had 75 digs and Italy had 79. In France v Argentina last week, in 4 sets, both teams had 57 digs. In Japan v China, in 3 sets, the digs were 45-38.

And, it's not like the difference was being made up at the net in this match. There were only 12 blocks combined for both teams.
