Interesting observation. Oregon had to do what MSU did. They had to travel to Purdue for a Friday game. Despite the shutout, Purdue ran for over 200 yards to Oregon's 133.
Oregon had their starters in until the end of the game.
It was 21-0 at the beginning of the 4th quarter against a struggling Purdue team who lost to ND by 66 points and 52 points against Wisconsin.
Don't tell me jet lag and 4 days to prep doesn't make the games harder.

Don't want to criticize KIm, because he had a fantastic game and has had a fantastic season. He is money on FGs. But, kick-offs are a bit suspect. Can't be giving teams like IU, UM, IL the kind of kick off field position on every kick off.

That's what I'm talking about!!! Chiles is the future! We looked really good in all 3 phases! Go GREEN!

on your side note. Can return. They have made it pointless and impossible. I took 30 dollars in about 8 months ago and it took about an hour to make the machines take them. Either the readers failed to read them, or the bins had to keep getting emptied. It should not cost you an hour of your life to turn bottles in. The machines they use have downgraded over the years. 20 years ago the machines they had would have taken less than an hour to return 2-300 dollars worth.

I am an IU fan, and besides OSU, MSU is the team i am most worried about the rest of our season.

JC, Michigan’s drop off could be due to not knowing the other team’s selected play prior to the snap.

Best OL performance since at least '21.

This win was almost entirely based on OL improvement.
The ability to RUN THE BALL(!) is how MSU was able to control the clock, keep the defense rested, and open up passing opportunities for Chiles. Obviously, this was a stellar coaching job over the bye week. Michalczik earned the game ball this week.

The defense seemed better, but I think that was largely because they could focus more on stopping the run. McNamarra missed more than a couple of throws that Oregon and Ohio State are going to make routinely, and he was absolutely no threat to run.. MSU knew going in that Iowa was unlikely to win through the air.
This sets up rather nicely for next week, too, although Michigan will have plenty of tape to try to figure out how to go against our D.

#53 Baldwin whiffed on more blocks than anyone on the OL. #82 Parachek also missed several blocks.

MSU/UMich spread started out at UM -9.5. I went to jump on it and it had dropped to -7. I got MSU +7. It's already down to MSU +5.5. And DraftKings is already offering me a payout before the game starts!

Whole new looking O-line. They finally looked used to their positions. We finally saw what Chiles and the running backs look like when they aren't getting hit in the backfield.

And Kim was fantastic as always in the kicking game.

as others have said, one of the biggest takeaways from this game is that the OL seems to have improved. I just hope the line continues to get better and that this was not a flash in the pan. it’s been a while since MSU has had consistent quality performances from their offensive line, so I’m still somewhat skeptical; but if this continues, this team could be cooking with gas.
