Macbook Air 13" Case Cover

Which laptop do you recommend, a macbook pro retina or a macbook air? Both 256G models. I am going off to college next semester and will be studying Computer Engineering. I also wish to play games, very light gaming but between the two I am struggling on which to buy. I love the retina screen on the pro but also love how the air has a very long battery life. Hard to decide which to get.

I have this cover in yellow love it.  Just a little advice you may want to get a keyboard cover also.  

I too have the macbook pro just needed something lighter.

How strong are the stands?
