Hey, I wanted to pick up this edition of the console. Is the UI for this system in English or is it just in Japanese since it's an import from Japan?

How does the system perform, if you choose not to rip the ROM to storage, as though it were a normal console? Just curious if it makes for a reliable console like experience, for those who don't own the real consoles? Thanks for an interesting review. The comment about your Japanese wife, being confused by the Japanese games titles, was just fascinating! Do you still use your Retro Freak?

Is this the same hardware of the first white edition?

Any news on a newer version coming out? Any hardware differences between versions? And last question: Do the hardware differences matter if there are any?

Always enjoy an unboxing, fluid , on the fly, but maybe take 5 minutes to write some notes beforehand so you don't get hung up on points and words you want to use. It will add a significant polish to your videos

I picked up the regular edition last year, it was on sale for around 50% of the original asking price so I was delighted to grab it

I have the previous bundle with the controller adapter (in white - black would be cooler). Love it as a system in our lounge room, that I can use when I just want to sit on the couch and game, rather than going out to the game room etc. I wouldn't mind getting the Gear adapter at some stage though.
The emulation works quite well, I think it also helps that I am using an older plasma screen.
One thing I really love about it is how well it's operating system has been written, it's really fast, it's really good at detecting the cartridges (as long as they are clean of course).

I guess it's cool to have a physical thing that can run a whole bunch of different gaming platform stuff. But for an emulator in a box it's way too freaking expensive. Even considering all these cartridge slots.

I grabbed one last year and as you say it's a really convenient piece of kit. My only small gripe would be the bundle I got didn't have the controller adapter but I'm still happy with it.

Great unboxing, now we need a review of the system. Also, are you absolutely, positively, 100 percent sure you want to dump the ROM? XD

I’ve got the original release of this, but have never really used it lol. I do like the Jap MD2 colour they’ve used on it. I thought they were stopping making these, oh well it’s a win win if people still want one.

I've always wondered why people who collect games don't talk about these multi-system emulators more. Seems like a perfect solution if you got shelves full of different cartridges and no space to have every system connected.
Edit: Checked the price, ouch!
