WTF didn't know this even existed.
ОтветитьThanks for this, much needed!
ОтветитьIt would be kinda funny if TechLead was your TechLead in Google

ОтветитьThank you! 😊
Ответитьformal and nice Ad 🤣
ОтветитьAaargh, this guy is the opposite of the Impostor Syndrome. He talks like the embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger Syndrome. Seen that kind before (in a corporation). They are hired as "high potentials" or "unbiased external consultant", they jump around, try to stir up everything, install themselves as "advisors" to the "sheeps", create lots of powerpoint BS showing some flashy "new" concepts. But after that few months, when the hard work becomes required, this consultant swarm quickly disappears.
And you say that people put Google software on the pedestal, considering it bugfree? BULLSHIT. Only n00bs consider huge frameworks to be the holy grail. Look at some random project on GitHub, say, gRPC. Over 400 open issues.
Can you make a video about how to stay yolked as an SDE?
ОтветитьSneaky, also damn feel called out...
ОтветитьNo one is perfect, just remember that.
ОтветитьIt's very easy to get impostor syndrome when people keep telling you "oh you got hired/got promoted because you're a woman, you're just diversity quota"... Maybe the bar really was lower for me? Maybe that's why I landed the job, maybe some more qualified guy wasn't selected because of that......
ОтветитьThis always happens to me when I play among us
ОтветитьYou are awesome.
ОтветитьOne like for his card trick
Ответитьgreat idea to make such a video, great u did it. thank u a lot
ОтветитьThe algoexpert ads are as creative as they are annoying lmao. after sometime, they start getting pretty predictable lmao
Ответитьvery wise words!
ОтветитьI just started the same bootcamp and I’m really excited about it. I joined this one primarily because of you, so thank you. Love your videos man, keep up the great work :)
Ответитьlistening to this while struggling with a f*king piece of code
ОтветитьNeeded this video Clement. Thank you <3
ОтветитьThanks, old video but helped me alot Clem, half way through my bootcamp and impostor syndrome is hitting me hard!!!
ОтветитьDamn bro you nail most if not all videos, on a hard scale.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWhen the impostor is sus
ОтветитьHonestly I unconsciously get imposter syndrome too when non-cs people ask me a random "not cs related question" and throws the line "You're in cs you should know this", and it automatically makes me feel bad about it when it shouldnt
ОтветитьI just joined your channel quite recently and I know this video is old but somehow drew my attention as I've been suffering a lot from imposter syndrome.Your tips are great and I definitely will use them - thanks a lot !
Ответитьdamn, this is great material. thanks!
Ответить📮
ОтветитьI always feel very sus
Ответитьthat algo expert plug tho
ОтветитьWow, cool information/advice. Thank you Clem
ОтветитьSecond suggestion is so fucking true, atleast for me!
ОтветитьThere are lot of videos regarding imposter syndrome but this one is just wonderful. I can totally connect with your point 2. I always feel very demotivated after receiving few negative comments in my tech design review meetings. Sometimes, I also wonder if I have chosen a wrong career because of such incidents :(
ОтветитьThanks for this! The ”trust the system” point really resonated with me.
As long as you haven’t misrepresented who you are and what you know, then trust that the people that hired you are just as smart or smarter than you are.
I always smash the like button, gladly. You deserve. Incredible content.
ОтветитьNot possible if you keep finding yourself working hard but still being unappreciated, criticized, and have to redo your code constantly. You just got to leave don't humiliate your mind.
FUCK them, they are bastards! Don't work along them.
I think I have imposter syndrome. I didn't know there is something called imposter.. Now I realized what is the problem and trying to solve..
ОтветитьCompete with "yesterday you" - best advice I've ever gotten
ОтветитьThank Clement for speaking out about this common problem. Your video is really inspiring
ОтветитьLove that intro
ОтветитьThank you for this video Clement. Recently have been getting rejected by jobs and imposter syndrome has been creeping in
Ответитьbut i indeed feel harder to understand you videos about algo..., I select videos made by other lecturer on algoexpert..
