Maybe one of these days, I should play the game to actually get to the point where I hear this song instead of building elaborate fortresses.
ОтветитьThanos ending song
ОтветитьI had the audacity to take all my colonists on a ship a few hours before launch was ready (26 colonist), even though i was a pussy reloader i did not want to reload when shit hit the fan 5 hours away from launch.
A raid with 12 drop pods hit my base on the core and a termite with 20 mechanoids raid showed up on the top side of the map.
I though i could let it happen and we had time but a few of the robbers destroyed a part of the ship, by the time my 2 best builders (best buddies) were killing off the dudes, and bringing the materials for the ship repairs the termite gang was reaching the ship, the fire on my deposit was contained just enough for my colonist to reach the last component needed from the ashes, my animals and mostly the thrumbos distracted the centipedes while he ran to patch the broken structural beam.
And on the last second before the centipide killed him he maded onto the ship saving everyone, leaving all behind in the rim.
I felt sad when credits rolled and i saw all my thrumbos being killed by the centipedes and everything we built destroyed
Совсем недавно, я закончил прохождение этой игры. Вся местность вокруг базы была усеяна трупами рейдеров и механойдов, а когда до запуска реактора корабля оставалось 1.5 дней погибла дочка одного колониста.
Это был драматичный момент...
I've got almost 5k hours in Rimworld but i've never got to hear that song in game

ОтветитьI have won a song and I am happy.
ОтветитьJust beat the game for the first time. 3 crashed: Decker, Ria, and Talia. Decker and Ria were married by the end of the first year, and then a year later Decker was killed in combat instantly from a headshot. Slowly, friends were made, whether they were recruited from the jail cell, saved from crashed pods, or just wandered out of the woods. Welch, an old trapper, came out of the woods and joined, later shooting and saving Manabu, a man whom after being recruited and proving himself in animal husbandry, also became the husband of Talia. Their marriage was a disaster, with Manabu also proving to be a fine serial adulterer with the other colonists. The base took several forms; from ramshackle huts, to a small farming town, to an automated compound of granite and steel. Still came the raids, still made were the trades, and many a quest completed.
Years since the crash, the ship was powering up. Manabu broke off the relationship he was in and restored the marriage with Talia. Welch had become more machine than man with all the bionic replacements he needed, as he was now 109. The alarm sounded. The colonists took their posts at the various killboxes and fought the onslaught of tribals, mechanoids, and mercenaries. Ark, ancient warrior awakened from a cryochamber found on a quest and second husband of Ria, took a bullet to the eye. He was saved one hour from death by Ria tending to him without medicine(The incredible similarity of Ark's wound, when compared to Decker's was not lost on me). Ark was then given an archotech eye mid battle. When the smoke cleared, many wounded were taken prisoner, healed, and released, along with all the livestock. Everything that could be loaded into drop-pods were, and launched off to distant settlements.
When nothing remained in the colony, The colonists loaded into the ship, except for Talia, Ria, and Manabu. Manabu released all the bonded pets that I realized I couldn't take and had definitely built extra pods for, Ria paid homage to the sarcophagus in which laid Decker, and Talia turned off the lights. Then they three too loaded into the cryochambers. 14 years since the crash, the engines roared, the ship lifted off, and Ria and Talia finally got to go home. In total, 22 people escaped the planet with only one colonist death.
It's amazing that such simple colony simulator almost brought me to tears when the ship launched. I know this is only one story in a sea of them, and if you took the time to read it, I salute you. I don't know when I'll be booting up the game for a second colony, but this I know: Rimworld truly is a masterpiece.
Hundereds maybe thousands of raider corpses lying around my base. As my colonists fight through the raids, bomb them with orbital strikes, with anti grain war heads and tens of mortars
My walls are broken, a breacher raid broke the first 2 outlayers where my colonists were living and farming
We stud in the center surviving off the nutrient paste dispenser thats been there since the start of the colony. Sitting next to my colonist grave yard.
As days pass we stop clearing the raider corpses, at the 9th day a toxic fallout hits. Lucky for us our last fort is all sealed up.
Mech raids
Sieges
Deaths
Sacrifices
Day came
We prepared with 5000 steel in storage, 1000 plasteel, 890 uranium, 10 doomsday rockets, thousands of ammonutiun and a ton of packed survival meals. I had only 100 steel none of the other materiale left
Last 4 days, a mech raid hit. Our men were still healing in their biosculpter pods from the last raid. I sent my crafter. Whom built everything in the colony at level 20 with a tornado generator and a doomsday rocket. I gave her a luciferium and a go juice
She died quick but she saved us. Used the tornado generator and killed most mechs. Remaining ones started attacking us, so she used the rocket as the scythers surrounded her a big blast. Remaining mechs were killed by our last turrets in the fort
As for our builder. She died with her husband fighting when we assulted a colony
As for our doctor. She lived the longest from the main starting 3. She survived and she is responsible for every artificial limbs we have attached to our colonists. She didn't die, survived in the colony for 6 years. And lived to escape leaving her mother and her daughter behind.
I took nearly everthing i can get my hands on because i want to imagine my colonists entering to the world where my main colonists came from
2 legendary full armor siege breakers all arcgo tech limb
3 warcaskets withfull bionic
1 slave that carries all our rockets
3 marine armor colonists which i picked up a while ago so they can assist us
And chang. The doctor.
I do like to imagine they got to live a happy life after suffering all those years in the rim of the galaxy sometimes suffering and sometimes thriving
As the ship launched. I heard this music. Saw the names of dozens of colonists whose names i forgot. You might call it bs but i felt like they had a tiny ai driven life with all those marriages and deaths
(no i didn't memorise their names its a screen shot)

And some more but who will read this am i right?
on my finished game through, my last character to board the ship wandered around town in a sad wander before we could’ve initialized it taking off. after she spent a solid day looking at everything we had done, she finally gained back control and i was able to launch her off the planet. i think the colony was 16 in game years long, and i had a third of the colony stay behind that were the newest members, and then the ship took off and i saw like 80,000 people who died roll past the screen
Ответитьgotta leave it all behind
ОтветитьJust heard this for the very first time after launching my first ship. Blown away by how good it is! Has kind of a David Gilmour era Pink Floyd sound that I’m really diggin.
ОтветитьEverybody talkin bout the game,
And I'm just here to wait for the sun, when i wake up, before the job.
Also, i remember this music playing on my phone over and over at 4:30AM so i could go to my little fianceé (girlfriend then). ❤
Anyone know any songs similar to this?
ОтветитьImagine they go on the ship for 100s of years and wake up on another war-torn planet that at the time of departure was a glitterworld
ОтветитьHere after finishing a colony for the 2nd time (and this time, legitimately obtained via the trip to the star quest), genuinely waved goodbye at my colonists, Turtle, Zack and Forbes, hope you three made it to a peaceful world, as for Turtle's wife, Layla, hope she and her husband make a stable family, and Phocas, thank you for being the tough one, deserted the imperial army and probably for the better, and let's not forget the rest of my colonists on that game, Carl, Dwayne, Harding, Cuevas, Snyder, Jonathan, C.M., Madam and Mitch
ОтветитьOn my first ship launch the only reason I didn't get everyone off the planet was because a mad boomrat killed the last person who was trying to get into the casket and blew them up, instantly downing them and burning them to death, I imagine, as they watched the starship leave without them.
ОтветитьDont tell me ı forgot about the cat
ОтветитьJust heard this for the first time in my probably 100 hour save that was my first go at the game.
The colony started small, right beside the road of an ancient highway snaking around Mount Fishohandunt. Three brave souls emerged from the escape pods to construct a wooden base right at the side of the beaten asphalt: Grey Streaks, Cindy, and Red Dart.
Grey Streaks while a pretty good shot could just as well get people on his side of the view. Terrible cook though, but that was something everyone had to put up with for a good while.
Cindy was very reclusive, though she had a major talent with construction and cleaned up the place, much to her relief she didn't have to talk to people very much. That's what Grey Streaks was for.
Red Dart was a gentle giant. Despite his hulking stature he seemed to quite enjoy socializing and researching. The three of them were there for a while by themselves.
A good 2 weeks after the first building was up, a wild woman came in. She was Grey Streaks' nephew named Mari. She caused quite a bit of trouble for the crops, and eventually Red Dart was fed up with the girl eating the rice he spent so long planting and took her in to the prison cells. Grey Streaks was a bit discomforted by this, but it gave him a better opportunity try and reconnect with his family.
She was in that cell for a while, maybe a good 5 seasons. In the meantime a few other prisoners were recruited from raids, most notably Freckles, a butcher of animals back when she was a part of her tribe. Red Dart managed to get her favor to join the colony with some food that Clause made. It was so disgusting that she simply felt bad for the state of things and decided to join the group on the condition that none of them get anywhere near a stove. Grey Streaks was a bit put off by this, and sparked a rivalry between the two (also some note taking from Grey Streaks.)
By the time Grey Streaks finally got the right idea of how to communicate with his nephew Mari, a man fell out of the sky. Bear, a man who's combat prowess lives up to his name. He was horribly injured, but it seems as though the newly re-educated Mari took quite well to performing medicine and tending to Bear. It didn't take too long for Bear and Mari to fall in love with each other.
Then came along the man hunting pack of timber wolves, Bear and Mari were both pretty capable melee fighters, but Mari got her left leg ripped off by one of the wolves, causing her to fall to the ground. Bear killed the rest of the wolves, but by the time anyone could bring her over to the medical bay, she passed. Enraged by the sudden loss of his fiancé, Bear took it out on Grey Streaks. He almost won too, if not for both Cindy and Freckles holding off the bleeding enraged man. Though Freckles was a bit too forceful with her club, cracked his skull right open.
Needless to say, nobody was happy about this. The grief sent everyone into breaks, one after the other. Grey Streaks built a tomb for both Mari and Bear next to each other, right across the road. He had to take a few breaks to drown his sorrow in beer in the process. The only one who seemed to keep their head on right was Red Dart, continuing his research into ways on how to get off the planet.
Another new comer appeared during all of this, a man named Paul. Paul was astoundingly gifted in the way of craftsmanship, so he got the newly built workshop all to himself. He was a pretty solitary dude, but he didn't seem to mind. Simply making some pretty fantastic quality marine armor to help us against the raids. He did have his eyes on Freckles, constantly flirting with her and being rebuffed almost every single time. Key word almost, I suppose that persistence is a good way to land a relationship out in the Rim.
Once the research was done for the starship, construction started immediately. Cindy was the lead of the project with her knowledge and skill of how all of these raw materials fit together. All that was left was the persona core, which was obtained from a quest to keep a prisoner from some of our allies that Grey Streaks managed to win over with drop pods full of cloth that was just gathering dust in the store room.
And then, the ship was built. But everyone knew what would happen if you tried to start that thing up. Waves of pirates and mechanoids to no end. So it just sat there. Sat there for days, weeks, seasons, years... In truth, they've gotten accustomed to their life out on the Rim.
That is until a mechanoid raid almost razed the whole settlement. Everyone in the med bay knew that reactor had to come online NOW. So it was set into motion, 15 days of raids. And they seemed to all be mechanoids too, by the first week the wooden structure was replaced by plaststeel walls from how often the scythers would chop their way inside. By the second week, Paul and Freckles got killed by a thumper that got a stray shot around a corner that was meant for Cindy. Red Dart and Grey Streaks fought their hardest, but a lancer got both of them right between the eyes, Cindy was barely able to finish it off in melee. But, that was it. The final day was quiet. Much more quiet than Cindy would've ever liked. So with a heavy heart, knowing she'll never see her friends graves and settlement she built from the ground up, she entered the cryosleep casket. The thrusters began their launch sequence, and Cindy waits for another Sun to see.
Been playing since 2018. 1700+ hours in game. Never finished one until last night. Had to come find the song to listen again. What a phenomenal piece of music at the perfect time in the game.
ОтветитьAfter owning and enjoying the game since before Royalty, I've finally gotten the ending. Wouldn't let myself get any DLCs before I had finished a save properly.
This save wasn't supposed to see the ending. I was just messing around... Lost tribe scenario, nothing special. Living in a boreal forest, the Winterwood Alliance grew into a cozy village. Painted wooden buildings and stone paths, decorative trees, one of the prettiest bases I've built in this game. Decided to ban electricity and guns since I wanted to stick to the traditional style of the scenario, and I was enjoying the challenge of hunting for meat and leather and preserving food for the long winter. After four years and many deaths, I decided I wanted to bring the story to an end.
No chance of making the ship without horribly breaking the aesthetic, so I decided to pursue the landed ship quest instead. Ran the numbers on how much pemmican we'd need to make the journey, and how many muffalo we'd need to carry it, and got to work. To make it happen, I made one exception to the no-electricity rule, hollowing out a mountain into a giant pemmican freezer. By the following spring, we had everything we needed. By this point, the only member of the initial five was Tiger, an elderly cook and builder. A lot of his friends had died along the way, but we had a party of ten as we loaded the muffalos with everything of value and left for the ship. I didn't use the "abandon" mechanic; I wanted to see how the old village weathered our time away.
I had no plans to get the ending for real. The plan was to get to the ship, activate the reactor, and see how close we could get before everyone died.
Arriving at the ship, we set to work reinforcing it. I'd overestimated our pemmican needs, so we had lots of food while we got set up with new crops and workshops. With no idea how difficult the takeoff gauntlet would be, I wanted to be prepared to give it my best shot. Reluctantly I abandoned everything I'd stood for. Ditching the natural village style for uncompromising rectangles, we built a strong (but flammable) wooden compound around the ship. We began using electricity, and eventually researched firearms. I find killboxes ugly, so we surrounded the compound in a perimeter fence and deforested everything within to give raiders nowhere to take cover. hundreds of spike traps lined the perimeter as the compound grew in size.
Days turned into years as the compound grew, the wooden walls were replaced with stone, and I accidentally invented a class divide. The original ten (well, nine, rest in peace Raisa) people from the first village became the Founders, decked out in devilstrand and destined to leave the planet. Everyone who joined us at the landed ship was a Recruit, with the job of fighting to protect the Founders. Eventually we grew rich, our Recruits equipped with power armour and charge rifles. I stocked up on single-use superweapons, prepared mortars with hundreds of shells and dozens of replacement barrels, and upgraded the defensive line. Eventually, the rising cost of advanced components created a third class, the Fools, who had to go without power armour as our population hit 40.
Nervously dragging out the inevitable, twelve years passed. With some final touches, including some beautiful rainbow-painted tiles in the inner courtyard surrounding the ship, I activated the reactor.
It was SO easy. Barely got to use any of my superweapons!
Well, Tiger and his friends (Green, Abeneiro, Mitsuya, Bailey, Purple, Rrogo, Trecrou, and Irgo) are in space now. Good for them.
Yes, there were 18 cryptosleep caskets on the ship, and I could've built more, but I only launched the nine surviving Founders. As for the 19 surviving Recruits and the 14 surviving Fools... They're stocking up on packaged survival meals, preparing to prove their worth by making the same journey as the Founders- they'll make a pilgrimage to the ruins of the village (nothing is left, raiders and flashstorms have reduced the area to ash and rubble), and then build a new ship themselves. Maybe they'll get to join the Founders in the stars yet.
I set out to create a nice factory on the rim, maybe give back to the comunity and so i doomed the planet to a frozen radioactive capitalistic hellhole where people are exploited for profit
ОтветитьWe made it 😢
ОтветитьIf you told me this was a solo David Gilmour cut, I'd believe it without a second thought.
ОтветитьMy 2nd colonist lived long enough to find love, marry, divorce, and then find new love in one of the latest colonists. There were limited caskets so I sent him and his new love to space, leaving his ex-wife behind.
(I was on community builder)
After restless 12 days of raids, in the very last raid of their lives. An unfortunate event struck. My count has been accidentaly shot to death by his friend. After the wave was over he carried his friend's body to his throneroom and built him a golden coffin. He spent half of the day entombing his resting place in sheets of plasteel walls to discourage thieves. After it was done, they held a funeral. Even his royal highness was there to give last words to his underling. After it was done, they left. Letting their friend sleep in peace, the art of the coffin portraying his friends fatal mistake, as the last remnant of their friendship, which ended in tragedy.
Ответитьi have over 1000 huors in the game yet i have only ever heard this once in game...
ОтветитьFarewell Black Boot Private Security
May you find your way back to headquarters one of these days
Bro I love rimworld
ОтветитьJust finished my first Playthrough. Absolutely lovung it ❤
Ответитьeverything was such chaos to get off the ground. my first playthrough i barely made it. sitting in the satisfaction of actually lifting off, trying to decompress from the mania of the past 15 days, this song starts playing. was perfect. if song was 30 mins long i'dda listened to it, even if was just looped. i have rarely ever felt like that after anything, let alone a game. such is what it's all about folks. cheers
ОтветитьTHE DOORS?
Ответить:the spaceship craches in another Rimworld
ОтветитьI now regret that I completed the game the easiest way
ОтветитьLast night finished my first run. Spent already a good time with the game but never finished a run. So, when the colony was thriving, the Mages Unity chose their best 3 colonists to go and check the spot Whitestone gave them 10 years ago. They walked for 14 days, when they arrived, they built a portal to connect to their main base and began a new one around the ship. While the colony was evolving, a bomrat self-tamed, he got into the colony 3 years after they arrived. The boomrat named "Bombi" by someone, was living way beyond his age (12 almost 13 years when they putted it on cryptosleep casket), and was the colony's mascot. So, after the new base was built, everyone moved, they put Bombi in a cryptosleep casket so it could go with them. During the time the reactors were warming up, a drop pod raid arrived right on top of the ship, destroying an engine and 3 cryptosleep caskets. No one died and they had time to repair everything. One raider was close to destroy the one containing Bombi but our Paladin rushed and decapitated the raider. Eventually everyone got out, bringing Bombi, the boomrat that surpassed the normal age of a boomrat.
ОтветитьIt took 3 years of owning the game and 584.1 hours of play time, but today I finally beat Rimworld.
I’ve played many games, had dozens of colonists. But these were the ones that made it to the stars.
Athena, Emmie, Jonas, Dora, Burnett, Natalya, Maddie, Red, Heather, Mason, Alisa, and Astara: I did it for you. I already miss you.
Rimworld is a treasure. I may have finished the game, but I’m not even close to finished playing.
Shout out to Dom, Costa, Rosario and the pig man Hart
They were left for dead in a field full of bugs. With help of some of the coolest people, they are able to get off world
Shout out to a girl named Shiver, she came in a middle of the night and offer her help with all her skills almost maxed, and just like that, she left...
I never beat any of the playthroughs I went on. So I've never heard the credits theme. This is so good. SO good.
ОтветитьI'm right now listening to this song while waiting the forever wait for any new content for the console edition of this game I've done everything I could have and now I'm left with waiting I'm considering jumping into a cryosleep casket sleeping until someone finds me and awakes me so I could see if they did anything to this game but I'm hopeful something will come either a statement they've gave up on console or they release a update so I can end my story with a resolution
ОтветитьI remember my first colony and how one of my characters i now use across multiple games came to be
Roy Helri a genetically engineered fox person from the Ferian mod
Child spy and herbalist
Crash landed with a random woman he eventually married
Raid happened one night and 2 pawns died while Roy's wife hid inside since she was pregnant
Roy had an arm cut off by a raider and proceeded to beat the raiders to death with 1 arm and a pump action shotgun
He then spiraled into being fully cybernetic over the course of a couple different colonies
and now moves faster than the game can handle in everything he does
He went from just lucky to being able to overpower anyone through sheer technology and experience
That first colony had so many graveyards because i buried everyone even the raiders we were respectful but then slowly lost that respect for raiders and began either burning them or leaving them to rot never eating them because thats one thing i always held true to
Fly high to sunny, sparkles, scrooge the original 3 colonists, farewell to snuff, douglass, storm, myles, and dubakosh, my captured colonists, to fa, my mechanitor and supersoldier, fairwell to leti, trot, horror, perez, epoch, and dawn, the colonists born, and goodbye to bagheera the 16 year old panther with dementia and hearing loss.
Rimworld is one of the greatest colony sims ive ever played
After beating royalty i really imagine all the guys sitting in a cramped shuttle, everyone with their own concerns and thoughts. Especially the main builder/crafter/cataphract who got his wife's head blown off by a sniper turret built by himself a few days before the launch, it was an even sadder moment, considering there were only two casualties on that run, and the last one was several years ago, and the builder was the original colonist (it was naked brutality), so long, kate!
ОтветитьFirst time hearing this song is WILD
Ответитьi've never gotten this without save scumming on the higher two difficulties, but it's just a matter of getting through the early game anyways.
ОтветитьThe greatest colonist I ever had was a tough brawler. I gave him quite literally every enhancement possible, and forged him legendary prestige cataphract armor, and got him a persona zeushammer. He was so good he would heal fully in the middle of a battle. He ended up saving the colony after a mechanic raid of 23 centipedes stormed the walls, and he bought time for everyone to drop pod away. He took out ten centipedes before his armor broke. We were able to recover what was left of his body and give him a proper burial. I never had a hero like that again
ОтветитьSo many people have not heard this because they just couldn't build the ship sad
Ответитьcried while i carried my pet thrumbo to the imperial shuttle escaping the rim.
ОтветитьDespues de 400 horas y sobrevivir 3 años en una partida al fin logre salir de rimworld
Ответить
