what is the fastest train from England to Switzerland and Italy

I travelled a lot by trains and buses from Leeds to Rome.
The easiest one but most expensive because of the eurostar cost. the eurostar from London to Paris and then the TGV Paris to Milan, then Frecciarossa or Italo from Milan to Rome.
Used to be a night train from Paris to Venice and stops in Milan but not anymore.

If you are going to be spending days on trains? First class is definitely the way to go.

Just a reminder, England is no longer in the EU. So if you buy a Euro Pass and use the Train from London to Europe, they do not recognize the pass in England. So it's $200 per person into a Major City in Europe.

Right now Frejus line is closed because a landslide on the tracks. But you could do this with just two trains, London Paris and Paris Milan, most of this on high speed... less scenic travel though

The issue I have is that I’m of an age where technology is fine and often use it fully. However, I still get concerned about not having a physical document for a ticket and completely relying on my phone. My most recent journey meant that I had a ticket on my phone, and three printed versions. One for my handbag, one for my case and one put in my husband’s case just in case. I can’t just trust the phone.
Watching this video though gives me an idea for another holiday. I’d rather the orient express to Venice but probably not affordable.

When you take a trip in Europe like this, you should decide yourself: Do I want to travel fast, or do I want to travel scenic but slow routes. What you presented, is a mix of both.
The fast trains from zurich to milano go by tunnel and are a lot quicker then your route.

One problem in Paris is the missing central station for all trains in all directions. You have to use the Paris metro to change from your arrival TGV station to the next departure station. That cost quite a bit of time.

In London they solved this problem very good and changed the ending of the Eurostar line from Waterloo international to St.Pancras station in the nothern part of the city. So yoe can skip the London tube, when your heading to Edinburgh or Birmingham.
