Either; stroker n/a or

Supercharger, gear drive and if possible, in front of the engine & destroke the engine.

Either way, would like to see some displacement variation.

What is the weight of the Camaro?

N/a balanced rotating assembly with nice induction set up for a linear curve with decent rpm. You can ways build another or change up the set up. We all love forced induction, but there is not many people on you tube pushing the boundarys or n/a and showing it to the public.

I like all of those ideas.
It would be interesting to see an all out NA build 4200. But is that original turbo car the one to do that with?
How would you arrange the headers on a straight 6? Six long tubes into 2 collectors? A 6-3-1, or 6-2-1 to try for more midrange torque?
ITBs from motorcycle throttle bodies?
This could get nasty.

I really want to see someone without access to a blank checkbook build a compound turbo setup. Apparently with modern boost control they can actually be better than a big single or small twins, but I wouldn't know as I'm not part of the Rothschild family

How goes it Brother? wanted to reach out asking for some help. I’ve got a 2005 Cadillac Deville with the 4.6 L Northstar V8 engine in it and I really liked what you were planning to do with the twin turbo 4.6, wanted to see if you could help me out/guide me in building a rear wheel drive twin turbo 4.6 L Northstar Cadillac Deville, I already went ahead and pinpointed the already purchasable products that you listed in your previous videos however, just like you said, in said video, some of the parts are not as easily attainable. Could you help me out?

the most powerful naturally aspirated inline six engine ever produced for road cars was the 2005 TVR T440 R, with its 4.0L six making a claimed 434hp to the crankshaft. i'd love to see the Atlas fly past those numbers before popping on a procharger or other forced induction setup.

I cannot believe you ended up with this car. That video was also my introduction to the 4200 and I’ve wanted to swap my mk3 ever since. Watched it too many times haha. Oh, and I vote for an unnecessarily strung out N/A motor. ALWAYS wanted to see one of these at its max without boost!

America did have something for the Supra in the early mid 80s, but Dodge was already going broke, so the Daytona lost the AWD system and better engine due to budget cuts before production began. Mk4 came in for 93 which also happened to be the last year of the fwd Daytona lol

Centrifical supercharger running off of front of motor. Instant torque and boost for autocross. Ideally positioned for the intercooler. It looks like a turbo- sort of ish, and your throttle whacks off the lights would be insane.
But, all your options would be sweet......

I am probably going to be the oddball here but I think it would make a great Grand Touring all around cruising car. That would mean repaint and and button up the interior and take your mom for a ride in it. It would still be a Nivac car so a smaller turbo to produce good power with excellent drivability. Yes, it will handle, it will cruise and it can go fast, but it can also be daily driven. Being so big and heavy, it won't be great at Autocross car anyway. Leave that for the Green Mitsubishi Eclipse that might be the next project.

Cut the supra firewall and push the engine back more than the stock 7mgte to give it better weight balance. With how forward that engine past the front Axle line it's going to understeer like them audis do because the fromt diff is in the bell housing the engine touches the radiator support on all of them tons of weight imbalance and understeer completely flawed design. Bmw tilts the engine at a 45 degree to get the center of balance lower and they push the engine as far back as possible and they drive different than audi in a good way

I've never understood why only the MK4 Supra gets any love. The the older generations are great looking cars.

ETA: ...and it says "Turbo" right on it. I don't understand the mystery of what to do... It came with instructions. 😂

Ответить
@luka-null
@luka-null - 07.11.2024 10:15

honestly... it can't be NA. it says "turbo" so it has to be some kind of forced induction.

on one hand... it says "turbo" so it should be turbo. it would be "the supra that never could be", having just the engine swap to the vortec. it'd be a cool car in just having the one variable swapped and seeing how they stack up.

on the other hand... it could also be "the supra that never was" in the first place. none of them ever had a super and the engine is already swapped to le 4200 so what's really stopping you from going full send? so very tempting.

either way i see it though, i don't think this isn't gonna be the NA build unfortunately 😔 which is unfortunate because it would be very cool but it just doesn't fit the tone this chassis is bringing to the table i feel.

excited to see what you do with it!
