excellent tutorial, have just finished my first jelly roll rug, so much fun to make.
ОтветитьLove the tutorial. They do make a very nice tip that you can use that actually turns the fabric in for you so you don’t have to use all the clips. What a GREAT tutorial though and I LOVE how detailed this was and thank her for this great video 💞💞💞
ОтветитьI didn’t show you sewed them together?
ОтветитьThank you so mutch for this tutorial😍💗💗💗
ОтветитьAwesome tutorial, love it. Can I sew a jelly roll with out batting?
ОтветитьI have questions:
1. Why did you stitch all the strips diagonally?
2. What type of cloth material is preferred?
3. Which type of Thread is preferred
4. What are the dimensions of those strips?
This is a great tutorial, thank you so much. I did find that the way you have your tube laid the way you do is best, with the puffy side out because it stays flatter. Beautiful and informative as always 💗
ОтветитьHi Erica
I have tried for second time and I get it wrong.
It will be a boil both times😢😢
Can you help
Love the colors. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьI have heard that it is best to press your strips of fabric before starting, what do you think? I hope you see this, thank you.
ОтветитьVery very beautiful. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьKind of like how my grandma made rag rugs only she showed them all by hand or on her treadle sewing machine back in the 60's
ОтветитьI made this rug on my Brother and had an awful time with skipping stitches. Today I have a Baby Locks Brilliant, and I decided to make the rectangular jelly roll rug, and the zig zags still skip. Very frustrating! I’m using correct needle, and settings, and now I’m stuck with a bunch of tubes I can’t sew together
Ответить❤❤ AMEI A TÉCNICA, SÓ ACHO QUE ELA FALA DEMAIS 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙏🏻
ОтветитьSo inspired! This might solve the 'what to do for my sister's birthday' problem. Thinking of table mats for her dining table in her new house. Desert colors. She has neighborhood ladies over often and likes to mix and match bright napkins and placemats. A couple bowl cozies made to fit her serving bowls. A round mat under the glass art piece in the center. She is IMPOSSIBLE to figure out a gift for. A couple yrs ago I gave her the "walking doll" she got as a child back to her with the clothes mother made for it. All 3 of my big sisters got one but the other two were younger and wore theirs out. I ended up with hers. I protected it so carefully for 6 decades. I had most of the clothes Mom made for the 3 dolls. One wore red, one green, the third blue. I even had her underwear. Her shoes were lost to time, tho. She sat in my late son's little rocking chair until her hair decided to unglue from her head. We couldn't get her little houndstooth beret (matched her cape) to cover the creepy dearth of hair. It was a hit as a surprise for my big sister!
ОтветитьI love this but I look at my dogs and think I would have to choose between my pretty rug or my dogs.
ОтветитьWhat is that barn quilt pattern behind you?
ОтветитьThe sound was off at the beginning but it got good in the next section.. I’m. Ready to make one.
ОтветитьCurrently in the mist of this project. It is a time consuming process, im enjoying this project. ❤
ОтветитьErica. What is the model Juki you have in this tutorial? I have the quilting QVP but am looking for one like yours.
ОтветитьI want the pattern for the barn quilt next to her.
ОтветитьGreat tips! Can't wait to make my new bathroom rugs.
ОтветитьIt's pretty. I don't think my machine can handle that...but one day...I hope.
ОтветитьI’m making one of these rugs right now! Thanks for the inspiration ❤
ОтветитьLooks so easy when you do it!
ОтветитьThanks for the great tips ,, you are a great teacher
ОтветитьHi Erica . Do you mind giving me the tension on your machine ? At least I have an idea and Then I’ll adjust it to mine . Right now my thread keeps breaking and I’m just about to give up 😢. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьHi. I love you videos of the jelly roll rugs. I also love the rug behind you with the barn and sheep. Do you mind sharing the name? Thanks Judy Sims.
ОтветитьGreat Tutorial.
ОтветитьGreat Tutorial Erica. Thoroughly enjoyed watching you make the rug.
ОтветитьLoved this tutorial. Very helpful. I. Had previously watched a different channel and they failed to show how to do the folds, which left me lost before I started. Thank you😊
ОтветитьI referenced this tutorial all the time! Thank you!
ОтветитьHow many jelly rolls did you use for this size? Thanks for the tutorial
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial 😊
ОтветитьHow big can one make one of these? Is it possible to make a livingroom sized rig? Ty
ОтветитьHi. How many of the same strips there is in a row?
ОтветитьLove your work and your hair it’s beautiful and I will have a go in making one.
ОтветитьWhat is the recommended stitch settings, length and stuff. I’m new to sewing. This looks beautiful and I want to try it.
ОтветитьFabulous Hair!
ОтветитьWhere did you purchase the clear extension table. I’d love to buy one for my brother
ОтветитьI am happy I found this tutorial! Your rug is lovely.
I just bought the pattern. 😊
I’d love to find the thread cutter you used but the link isn’t working. Can you share the link (if it is still available). 🧵🪡 ✂️
Great instruction and helpful tips too! When you mentioned about changing your needle for heavier fabric it may also be useful to loosen the presser foot tension so that it can feed through more easily. Thank you for sharing your experience -- the rug turned out awesome!
ОтветитьStill watching this video for reference . I have a couple tubs makers. However I don’t like how my first 3 rows look!! I’m just doing 20 strips, practice. 😂😂😂 I think I just realized what I was doing different. Thanks again. You should be getting hits in this video, it’s me not stalking you. 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьIm new to the jelly roll , i dont see why you cant just fold the fabric and batting in half instead of into 1/4 ? I think that would make the rug larger quicker
ОтветитьLove your tutorial. Like someone said before, you stick to the subject, making it so much easier to follow directions. Tutorials are not the place for a family history, no matter how interesting. Thank you for this. I’m going to go cut some strips and experiment. ❤️
ОтветитьIs this video made a few years back, as the others use the clover tool.
Ответитьcan you do an update on this with a rectangle shape?
ОтветитьPerrrrrfect turorial. Thank you! Makes me want to try one soon!
ОтветитьIt would be best if you didn't have music, or the sound of typing, while you're talking and giving tips. It makes it very difficult to hear for someone who is hearing impaired. Other than that, I love the rug you made!
ОтветитьThank you for this tutorial. I have now the confidence to purchase the pattern and have a go!
