What type of grass that you burnt to obtain its ashes? The plants look familiar but i don't know whether it's the same as the one found in my country as no one make tofu out of plants instead of from soya beans/

To everyone in the comments : this is not the same grass jelly as the taiwanese grass jelly. They're made with different plants and have a drastically different cooking process as well. The taiwanese version is known as "fairy grass" in chinese after the plant that it's made from, which is a small mint-like herb. They taste completely different too! You'd be hard pressed to find this grass tofu on the market except in areas where this tree grows.
