Not a buyout. Never listen to the media
ОтветитьFEMA played political games with taxpayer money. They should take the resignation money

IRS already completed DRP.
ОтветитьWhy is he only catering to GS14’s
ОтветитьWhen do you expect the freeze to end? I'm a veteran and logistics major looking to get into the civil service
ОтветитьI applied for it and was turned down. They said my position is exempt from the DRP.
ОтветитьGovernment employees are mean and most are not productive, if you ever worked with them. They suck
ОтветитьOK, so can you tell us if people wanna go back to work? Where are they gonna go to work? That means unemployment is gonna go through the roof and now where are these jobs? How are they opening up new jobs for people?
ОтветитьMilitary is at its weakest point ever since Jan 20
ОтветитьDOI NPS: I am absolutely devastated. I have been a seasonal employee for 10 years for the national Park service and now I get no offers and any inquiries I get are rescinded. I am not only heartbroken but broke.
ОтветитьOur company is doing this too. Gutting and destabilizing departments. Losing the knowledge. Replacing with outsourcing. Trump getting rid of all the other decent jobs. Next they'll introduce work camps? Or are we all just going to live in the woods?
ОтветитьI’m a federal employee still waiting for info on my agency. Crickets still. The stress is like being told you might have cancer, but you have to wait and wait for the final confirmation. If I have cancer, what is the prognosis, etc.
ОтветитьIts not a “buy out” but getting your full pay & benefits until Sept 30 is a good amount of time to go look for another job, for those that want to leave & avoid waiting for the RIF to be implemented.
Ответитьngl but this is a very good thing. its really good that RIFs will weed out the non-vets from federal service.
ОтветитьAs a federal employee and an adult in the room. I'll speak the truth. Yes, it sucks but the truth is. The government is bloated and completely over staffed. Its hilarious tjat just before all this the majority of people complained about federal employees and how lazy and easy they have it. Now those aame people are using this as a battle cry because their ideological views. The fact is there are a lot of fed employees who do nothing. The last administration over hired for several agencies now its getting corrected.
ОтветитьI'm a reinstated probational employee from the mass terminations earlier this year. I work for one of the DOT agencies and I really wish I knew what the plan was for RIFs. I really don't want to leave as it's been a great job, but it's tough just not knowing. I keep wondering if I should stick it out and see what happens but I don't want to risk being out of a job again.
ОтветитьIn FEMA I Def resignation they requested my FEMA ID and equimpemt on march 14 but effective september 30.
Will I have any problems collecting money?
Don’t forget they fork in road payed the bad workers that were working other jobs 8 months to leave and get paid . The employees that stayed, feeling they were hard working can get rifed within 30 days instead of the normal 60 days. So they rewarded some of the bad actors better than hard working employees. I’m not saying everyone that took drp was a bad actor but bad actors got longer insurance and pay than the workers.
ОтветитьAlso don’t forget this is about replacing people with ai .
ОтветитьVA secretary just offered DRP 2.0 until April 30 and VERA until September 30 so I expect that the RIFF’s will start October first during the next fiscal year
ОтветитьCut cut and when you think you’re done you cut more. Lighten the load for us private sector workers a little
ОтветитьAt my agency, it didn't matter how many people took the early retirement, they still did RIFs at the original total. Basically, the number of early retirements did not impact RIFs.
Ответить45k is nothing today….why would anyone leave
ОтветитьThey consider my job essential, so I don't get this option.
ОтветитьDOD allowed the agencies to screw the workers who wanted to take the initial "Fork in the Road" DRP back in early February. In some cases 2/3rds of those who requested DRP were blocked from taking it. Now they might allow us to? We'll see soon. Not only are we loosing the two months that have passed, but also many who were allowed to take it and did, were able to get their off role date to be 12-31-2025. So now we are loosing 5 months of pay. Great way to treat your most valuable asset - your people.
ОтветитьIf you a VET you be ok RIF or not....way too many non vets getting federal jobs anyway.
Ответить5% is 30,000 of the work force. Good god. Lots of government workers
ОтветитьOne word: Envy. For decades now the public’s access to unionized jobs has been whittled down to zero and only the lucky few could get the government jobs that are still almost as good as being unionized. Meanwhile the public has apparently gotten so resentful and misinformed that they would rather declare war on the federal government and bring everyone down to their level than to rebuild the unions so that everyone’s quality of life can improve.
ОтветитьBut the messed up part is not everyone could take it and leave feb 2. Some agency wanted us to wait until may 3
ОтветитьI took the DRP & MRA+10. My retirement date is 31 Dec, 2025. Sure DRP ends in September but with the exit contract it allows retirees to stay out as long as their retirement date is in 2025.
ОтветитьUSDA fed here with 5 years of service at date 5/20. I'm leaning to taking DRP 2.0, if I don't and get RIF'd and separate before 5/20 I'll question why I took that unnecessary risk and lost pension when I hit age 62 and regret that for some time. DRP is the safer bet for my situation.
ОтветитьI watched this video last night (thank you!) and again this morning. I just informed my supervisor I’m taking advantage of the DRP. So much weight just fell off my shoulders.
ОтветитьI signed the original DRP paperwork but I feel like I made a mistake. Is there any way to undo the paperwork and go back to my job?
ОтветитьSure wish it was for all; so many bureaucrats won't let their people take it - they are deemed "essential" and can't leave.
ОтветитьI wonder how many people were actually placed on admin leave as a result of participation in the DRP 1.0? I know for where I work, no one as yet been placed admin leave.
ОтветитьLol, the Feds are so conflicted about which golden parachute they should choose…do I get paid for no work thru Sep 30 or do I take the VSIP $25k, or ride out the RIF, lawyer up and claim racism/retaliation and sit on my butt getting paid until the appeals are all exhausted? I know, it’s tough.
ОтветитьDoD and taking the DRP in Lou to retirement in September..it my time to go fishing.. and I'm glad they brought it back so people who wasn't sure about the first DRP can now take it and ride off in the sunset and retire if that their Aim..😊
ОтветитьArmand, your awesome, I really enjoy watching your "info's", I'm with the FAA (1825), over 20 years and will be 62 in October, do you think there will be any buyouts for someone like me?
ОтветитьSometimes your life situation does not give you a choice. I Have deadbeat renters and in Colorado it takes months to evict. So until I can get rid of these jerks, I can't leave no job.
ОтветитьWow, I worked for a Municipality in SoCal. Workforce reductions were no where as sweet as this. A pink slip and last paycheck is all you got. And budgetary cutbacks happened often.
ОтветитьIf you took the DRP/VERA, deadline was tonight. You can ask your Command to let you go on Admin leave starting 1 May. is that correct? Do we still fill out ATAAPS biweekly? How does this work?
ОтветитьI just took the DRP 2.0. I still have 45 to recind the it. The frequently ask questions of DRO 2.0 says I can apply for federal jobs. What it does not say is there a waiting period ?…..before I can get hired by the government again ? I have a pretty good chance getting picked up by the Immigration agency. I just applied as an immigration service officer. Please help if you can helping me find an answer.
ОтветитьUrgent - if you accepted the DRP, are you allowed to work (in a different) as a federal contractor??
ОтветитьIn tenured af. They gotta pay me pver 125k severance pay to make me go away lol
ОтветитьI hope you see my question. I didn’t take either offer that they sent out. I am planning on riding this out and not giving them what they want. What will happen to me then? I’m hoping if it happens to me. That they give me the severance package instead. What will they offer me since I just hit 43 years old and will have 22 years in the VA in July,
ОтветитьWhat this guy is not telling us that this had to be done regardless who is president. The government is broke. People are blind refuse to see that the cost of government is too expensive for the taxpayers. In order to get well they must scale back
ОтветитьThis guy’s a prophet of doom. Not telling the whole truth. Some of his so called facts are terribly inaccurate. Do your own research.
ОтветитьI would have tried to take the DRP but I will have my 20 years in October so, it wont work for me. But if they do this over with a new DRP program in October I ama VA employee. The things is I don't think they will want to let me go. I am the only person at the VA location that does my job. (Pest Controller)
